I ordered this for my mom but she recently gave it back to me saying that it doesn't have any pocket and fits too narrowly for her. She is "old-fashioned" and doesn't like anything that fits close. Well, since she isn't much bigger than I am so I decided to wear it. They fit very well, just the way I like these kind of pants to fit, loosely, with a nice flow. It's a pity that they don't have any pockets because the fit and the thickness of the material would allow me to drop my phone and car keys in them without having a very noticeable bulge. Sometimes on my way home from work, I do a quick stop at the store for an item or two and don't want to carry a handbag for just that. With the thickness of the fabric, the pants is mediumweight and is well built with neat stitching and flat seams. If this were (dunno the exact number of years) ago, I'd say that I am shooketh, because that seems more emphatic than just plain old shook, but I'm too cool to use outdated language. (Hold your laughter, please, and let me pretend.) I am an extreme hourglass and a VERY hard fit. These are by no means a perfect fit - the waistband is flirting with my bra band - but they are a better right off the rack fit than I'm accustomed to by a country mile, and that's down to the intersection between substance and stretch. The fabric is SUBSTANTIAL, not as in thick and heavy, but as in thick and quality, like actual ponte, as opposed to all of the things that say they're ponte but are really just cheap stretch pants. They are synthetic, yes, but the hand feel to me, a very, VERY picky sensory person, is excellent. They also don't sing when I walk like some of the cheaper synthetics. (If you know, you know, and if you don't know, what's it like to be God's favorite, protected either from chafe or cheap fabric or both?) They're stretchy enough but not like cheap leggings stretchy, if you know what I mean. There's some substantial fabric between your cheeks and the world, which I don't know about you, but is something I really do prefer in a pair of pants. I don't know about slimming, but that's not something I'm actively looking for anyway. They do have a nice line from belly button southward, so maybe that is some kind of slimming insert. I'm short and these are the perfect length. By perfect, I mean I can kind of let them settle where they will, and they'll work with the heels I'll wear (2ish inches), OR I can choose to jack them up so that the crotch is where it's meant to be (the rise on these is pretty generous) and wear them with all but the flattest shoes, sneakers with some sole included (like a small platform, not something tiny such as Keds but maybe Converse depending on the sole). At $45ish (price at time of review), these well meet or outperform the price point. I've got $100 pants that feel well cheaper, $150 ones that aren't as comfortable, and I've never come across $50 with this kind of fit and feel. Read more

It's the perfect combination of style and comfort. I also love that they're long enough for my very tall frame. The 32" inseam is just right, and it doesn't ride upon me when I'm walking or sitting.
