These Rafaella women's straight leg pants, which have a hidden slimming panel that does an excellent job, are almost too pretty and too well made to wear, especially if you happen to have a large Labrador who sheds. A yellow Labrador at that. But the pants are absolutely beautiful, and I'll be saving these for special occasions but would be wearing them to work if I still worked outside my home. You can tell the quality of fabric, which is made of 62% polyester, 33% viscose, and 5% elastane, without having to feel it or anything else -- you can just see the excellent quality of this fabric while it's still in the package it came in. It doesn't hurt at all that these have some serious stretch to them, and it looks great on. There actually is a slimming panel hidden in these pants, and it's comfortable with great 4-way stretch. My favorite feature of these pants, though, is the 28" inseam. Those are hard to find, and I'm 5'2", so it's very hard for me to find good dressy pants or well made and comfortable work pants, back when I was working in an office. I'm not crazy about the two faux pockets in the back, but that doesn't matter at all, because these pants are so gorgeous. They have a front hook and bar closure, along with front welt pockets, but these are dressy pants, so don't count on having enough room for your keys in those pockets. That's not what the pockets are made for in these pants; the pockets are made to look good. I ordered these pants because they're so beautiful, very well made and comfortable, and because I'm short and never pass up a pair of pants with a 28" inseam. These would definitely be ankle pants on a woman of average height, but if you're short like me these are a blessing. Last but least, these pants make your body look good, and they have lots of stretch so they're comfortable. I would highly recommend these beautiful, elegant, dressy (but not too dressy) pants, which have a hidden slimming panel and a 28" inseam. I ordered my suggested size based on the size chart--which is also the size that I wear normally--and the pants are not ankle-length. They are most definitely full-length, just skimming the top of my foot. I have no complaints; they don't look like "high water" pants yet are also not too long that I cannot wear them with flats. For reference, I am about 5'6 and wear a size 8/10 in clothing. The pants are an excellent quality, with a thick and durable fabric. They do pick up lint and pet hair easily, but that is always to be expected with black pants. They wash well, which I appreciate so it saves on dry cleaning, and I hang to dry so I don't lose any of the length, which would be just enough to make it awkward. From my wife: "This is a lovely pair of dressy pants or dressy casual. Nicely made, seams are tight and look to last a good long time. However the waistband does not feel true to size for the size 16. I have several other size 16 prs of pants which fit well. This one is a two -three inches shy of being able to button and zip. Might need to size up for the waistband. The legs fit great and the length is a nice short length - I have a beautiful pair of flat sandals I will wear with them once I get down a few more pounds. These tailored pants can be dressed up for the office or an evening event, or down for more casual outings. They have a tiny amount of stretch (can't work out where that 5% elastane is hiding); these are not the pants to wear if you are going to be over-indulging in food or doing athletic moves (but you may get away with some gentle Tai Chi). The straight-leg, mid-rise (just below the waist) design is slimming. There is no elastic band in the waist, which is nevertheless quite forgiving. The attached label incorrectly classified them as high rise, but the waist is too big for that. The fabric is medium in thickness - suitable for offices! The slacks sport proper zip and waist closures, as well as medium sized pockets in front (that have to be unpicked). The rear flaps are just that - flaps with no pockets; they simply provide unnecessary bumps at the back and should have been left off entirely. They are well made, truly wrinkle-free, machine-washable. I found them true to size, although longer than ankle length for my 5" 3" length, which is to be expected.
