I've tried other brands of self heating eye masks, and this is my favorite. The heat seems to stick around a bit longer, and the ear loops make it soft and comfortable to wear without smashing down your hairstyle. I will be ordering more! I've had dry eye for a long time and have used a few different microwaveable moist heat masks which I've found is the most effective way to treat it long term. The microwaveable heat packs can get very hot, which I like, but you of course need to be careful not to overdo it to avoid discomfort or injury. When I saw these items I didn't even realize that they existed. I couldn't believe that a single-use item like this could actually be effective, as I like a good amount of heat. I was definitely surprised at how warm these get, and also how long they last. They definitely don't get quite as hot as a microwaveable one can, but they get warm enough to work and they stay warmer longer than my current microwave one. I couldn't believe that a flat, paper-like item like this would work, but it does. It heats up by itself and also provides a moist heat, which is essential for penetration and clearing out my eyes. At first, I thought the flat design was a bit of an issue, but you can press them around the bridge of your nose and eyes a bit and they are close enough to be effective. Ultimately, I will continue to use my reusable one on a day to day basis, as it gets hotter even though it doesn't last as long. Also, while at home I think using a reusable one makes a lot more sense than something that can only be used once. Also, these masks and their packaging are not recyclable. I think these would be great to use for overnight stays and for traveling. They take up almost no space, are very light, and actually work. A very cool product, although I do hope they can make more parts of them recyclable or biodegradable at some point. Read more
