If you are looking for something that will allow you a quick cup or two of coffee this is a perfect item. Let me express why I chose this one and what I love about it most. First and foremost I was looking for something with a clock timer for my kitchen. The second best part of it is that it fits very nicely on my counter and not take up a lot of room. Chefs kiss! The only downside that I encountered is some extra dripping. So my counter would have extra water there. Also, the drip cycle once it should have been over there was more dripping in the cup. That wasn't a big deal I just waited a bit more time for it to be done. There is no warming plate, no shut off switch that you find on a regular coffee maker. There is a start and stop button. There is definitely a programming which is really easy & simple. Last, there is no need for pods to deal with. Just use your ground coffee and it's done. I use an filter that fits nicely in the basket. However you don't need to because there is a basket already added. No need for a coffee pot it goes right in your cup and there is no extra steps. A cup comes with it but, I have another cup that fits right on the plate area. Once I'm done with my coffee I rinse my cup and store it right on that plate area for the next time. Cleaning the unit is very easy. Just use the cup to add your cleaning solution the same way in making a cup of coffee. It has to been the same size and amount that goes in the cup to avoid over spill on your counter. Once you run the solution through then rinse the same way I do it twice or so. That's to make sure I don't taste any of that in my next cup of coffee. This has been the best made coffee maker. My last issue when I purchased one it didn't work at all. So, I had to get a replacement & I hate this one. It was claimed to be the last one which I believe it was a return item and they decided to send it out to me anyway. It wasn't even in a package, it was in a plastic bag in an Amazon box so I am waiting to they get more in stock provided that even happen now. So far so good. I wish they provided a glass pot rather than the plastic lined one I received. I suppose it's nice to be ready to travel with your coffee as soon as it's brewed, so there's that. Works quickly and well, coffee tastes good. Might one day switch to something that doesn't force hot water through plastic but for now this is a nice little single serve coffee maker. Read more
