This sweater was not intented to be a wardrobe staple for me. I ordered the red heart version, specifically for Valentine's day. The sweater will suit my purpose. However, if I had ordered another color expecting it to be a part of my regular wardrobe, I would be disappointed. The fabric is thin and the material feels cheaply synthetic. The wife, for whom I select and consult with before acquiring any such stunning garments like this one for her, (as a result of my being a member of Amazon's Vine Voice reviewer team program), has been the recipient of many different wardrobe variants as offered by a copious amount of qualified Amazon sellers. This pretty looking item, currently under my review, is no exception to our perception that many fine quality and stylish, fashionable clothing options are readily available on Amazon. So, here are some of the key and most noteworthy features of this product (as related to me by my wife): 1) As previously stated, this shirt comes in eight different variants (color and surface design pattern-wise) and she opted for the "Navy Blue Striped" selection and, I must add, she hasn't 'second-guessed' or 'looked-back' on that decision to date. She really looks stunning in it. 2) Before getting 'too carried away' with the many virtues of this item, the fabric mix of this garment is worth an important mention. The 'silk-like', soft texture is hard to beat, but there are some distinct characteristics of this 'faux silk' product that can doom its effectiveness if not handled properly. The 80% Viscose/20% Nylon mix is generally considered acceptable for normal 'everyday wear use'. However, when it comes to washing/cleaning maintenance, this is most definitely not your common garment to just randomly toss into a hot water washing machine, followed by a typical air-heated dryer. Doing so, will almost certainly greatly shrink and highly wrinkle the item at hand, thus potentially rendering it subsequently unusable. Heat, in general, is a major 'enemy' of Viscose textile products, so strict care methods must be practiced. This would include preferred handwashing (or on an acceptable 'gentle/delicate' setting, with a mild detergent soap, in a washing machine), BUT on a COLD WATER setting ONLY. My extensive online research on the matter goes into great lengths regarding the 'TLC-like' handling required with this fabric. Failure to adhere to these care instructions, could/would most probably result in the ultimate super shrinkage, permanent wrinkling of the garment. For sure, a typical home air dryer is NOT permissible, as basic ambient temperature air drying is virtually the only method that will work. 3) As for the sizing element, the medium size selected for my wife was pretty much correct. However, with her somewhat dimunutive 5'3" body frame, she finds the length a bit too long for her to allow her to 'orderly' wear the shirt on the outside of her pants, especially in the frontal area. 4) The length of the 'short' sleeves, although a bit long for her 'petite' body size, seem to nevertheless be non-intrusive in her daily activity routine(s) when wearing it. This 'critique' is really relevant to the height of the user as the longer the arms, the shorter, and therefore more 'unrestrictive' the sleeve length dimension becomes. 5) What with the special care and handling mandates associated with this garment, it nevertheless doesn't noticeably diminish the usability and wear-ability of this garment. Strictly from a viewer's standpoint of the cosmetic charm of it, anyone that sees her in it is bound to be very complimentary of it, therefore, we both feel that a full 5 stars' rating applies here.
