These new Ray-Bans share the same fantastic design of the Skyler model , however bear a couple of upgrades that come with Gen 2. These have longer battery life versus gen 1, and slightly different notification sounds etc. The transition part of the lens isn't my favorite, sometimes it's partially transitioning while indoors which is the exact coloring I personally hate. The media could not be loaded. These things are AMAZING. Not only do they have buttons on the sides where it would hang off of your ears that you can tap to either take a photo or record a video or even messages volume but it also has a hands-free feature where just by saying something like "hey meta" ask it or say whatever you want like start recording take a picture or one of the best options is start live translation now there's only about seven languages so far but there are constant updates that are still pushing out and it connects through Bluetooth to your phone so there's a lot of features and the video quality is amazing. I would say it is well worth the money especially considering there's a there's very tight speakers right where your ears are on the earpieces and if you turn the volume only about halfway up only you can hear it even if somebody's right next to you if you turn it all the way up then somebody right next to you can possibly hear muffled speaking but that's about it so you could listen to somebody speaking in other languages and it'll live translate within like 1 to 2 seconds behind it's that fast. What are the best parts is sometimes before you can buy it if you go on to the webs the actual website you can put in a prescription and they will send you the glasses with your prescription also if you order it without the prescription you can it send you a whole packet of places nearby that will do the prescriptions they just have to send them out and that's exactly what I'm doing so it's looking like about $250 extra for my prescriptions as including transitions. WASTE OF MONEY!!! The picture and video function works well however the talking capability does not!!! Every time I tried to talk to someone they could not hear me at all!! I kept wiping the microphone and that did not work. I reset them 6 times and that did not work. Also because they are transitional, they don’t turn into sunglasses in the car so I had to ride with sun in my eyes unable to see or take them off and put an actual pair of sunglasses on. I am a content creator and I wanted them to video myself doing hair color-well I move my head A LOT because I have to look at what I’m doing. First pair: I ordered these off amazon because I had a gift card to use. Waited over 2 weeks to get them. They came opened and used with scratch marks and a crack. They would not even turn on.
