Impressive Smart Glasses for Recording and Everyday Use – Very Cool Tech

KaabFebruary 23, 2026✓ Verified purchase

I picked up the Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) Wayfarer mainly for hands-free recording and the AI features, and overall it’s a really cool piece of wearable tech. The design looks just like normal Ray-Bans, so they don’t feel gimmicky or overly “techy” when wearing them in public. The camera quality is surprisingly good for glasses. Video and photos come out clear, and it’s incredibly convenient being able to record exactly what you’re seeing without pulling out your phone. Audio capture is also solid, and the open-ear speakers work well for calls and quick media playback. Battery life has been noticeably improved compared to earlier smart glasses, and they’ve been reliable during regular use. Pairing and app integration were straightforward, and once set up, everything just works in the background. My only real disappointment is that there’s no integrated screen or display. For a device that can see what you see and has AI capabilities, having some kind of built-in visual feedback would have made the experience even more powerful. That said, as a recording device and AI-assisted wearable, these are genuinely impressive. If you want discreet, hands-free video capture in a stylish form factor, the Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer is a very unique and well-executed smart device. Read more

Revolutionary Smart Tech Wrapped In Timeless Style

Thong NguyenFebruary 2, 2026✓ Verified purchase

The Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 Wayfarers are a remarkable fusion of iconic fashion and cutting-edge technology. The 12MP ultra-wide camera captures incredibly sharp 3K video and high-quality stills from a first-person perspective, making it effortless to document memories without ever reaching for a phone. The open-ear audio system is equally impressive, delivering rich sound for music and crystal-clear calls while still allowing me to remain aware of my surroundings. Having Meta AI built directly into the frames feels like the future; I can ask questions about what I’m seeing or control my media hands-free with simple voice commands. One of the most significant upgrades is the extended battery life, which now lasts up to eight hours on a single charge—nearly double that of the previous generation. The included charging case is sleek and portable, providing an additional 48 hours of power so I never have to worry about running out of juice during a long day of travel or recording. The matte black finish is understated and premium, ensuring these look like classic sunglasses rather than a tech gadget. For anyone who wants a seamless way to stay connected and capture life as it happens, these smart glasses are an absolute must-have. Read more

Stylish, comfortable and surprisingly useful

Leonnny Adrianza | Cozy Home FindsMarch 10, 2026✓ Verified purchase

I absolutely love everything these glasses offer. The design is classic Ray-Ban, so they look stylish and feel high quality, but what really impressed me is how functional they are. The audio is clear, the camera is perfect for capturing quick moments, and they’re comfortable enough to wear all day. They don’t feel bulky or heavy like I expected smart glasses might. I also love that they still look like normal sunglasses, not a tech gadget. The matte black Wayfarer style is timeless and flattering. If you like technology but still want something fashionable and practical, these are a great combination of both. Highly recommend. Read more

Ray-Ban gen2

FredsawDecember 20, 2025✓ Verified purchase

I bought the Meta Ray-Ban (2nd Generation) smart glasses with Transition lenses and ended up pretty disappointed with the overall quality. For the price — around $500 — I honestly expected much more. The only real strong point is the video quality in good lighting. In bright daylight, videos look sharp and clean. Photos also look great when lighting is ideal. However, as soon as the light drops even slightly, the video quality becomes very poor — it feels like something recorded on an old phone from the early 2000s. I did enjoy the built-in speakers — it’s convenient to walk around listening to music or taking calls without earbuds. That’s a nice feature. But the Transition lenses are very weak in real sunlight — the darkening effect is minimal and doesn’t really provide proper sun protection. The build quality is also disappointing. The glossy coating scratches extremely easily. When folded, the arms touch each other, and my glasses started getting scratched within just two weeks of normal use. Battery life is another big downside. When recording video — especially in 3K — the battery drains very fast. I constantly have to put them back into the case to recharge, which is very inconvenient when you spend a lot of time outdoors. The built-in AI feature feels completely useless to me — it doesn’t add any real value to daily use and seems like an unnecessary gimmick. Also, the lack of a pause function when recording video is very frustrating. If you need to stop for a moment, you have to end the recording completely and start a new clip. Later, when the videos sync to the phone, all those small clips have to be found and manually stitched together — and sometimes they don’t even upload in the correct order, which only adds more hassle. Overall, I’d rate these glasses a 3 out of 5. The idea is great, but for such a high price the quality, durability, battery life, lens performance, and software features should be significantly better. Read more

Great Glasses

James TranMarch 20, 2026✓ Verified purchase

These glasses are great! I wasn't sure if I was going to like them since I didnt think I would use the camera/video alot. The main thing that sold me on the glasses is that I can use these as my headphones since the temples have speakers in them! The sound quality is great for what it is. One small draw back is that if you're working in a very quiet room on the lowest setting its possible for other people to hear your music. Read more
