This is a great enhancement to aa M4 Mac Mini. It gets the bottom free and clear up in the air so that it can gets lots of unobstructed cooling. It increases the total number of ports available for use adding 3 additional USB-A Style USB3 ports, 2 fully functional USB-C ports, an additional network port, another HDMI ports (for dual screens), a headphone port (so you can run speakers and headphones), SD/Transflash port which was left off of this version of the Minii, and a built in m.2 SSD slot on the bottom for additional SSD storage. I use a 4gb Samsung m.2 SSD as my time machine backup and its works very well. Its fast and right there with the mac out of site, and out of mind. The display on the front of the dock is a nice touch. No buttons or anything it just slowly cycles through teh different dashboards giving insights into temperature, performance, voltage, and usage of the dock. It isn't necessary but it a nice - high quality feeling touch. For the price this is one of the nicest and full featured m4 Mini docks i have come across. Plus this layout (upright) is my favorite for the. heat dissipation capabilities and the fact that it takes up the least amount of space on my desk. Read more
