I've been wet shaving for years. Advice to new guys: Buy this sampler. Everyone has their own blade preference. Many guys that are new to wet shaving are stunned to discover that there really is a very large difference between blade brands; it isn't a "it's a razor blade, they're all the same" kinda thing. Each blade has its own personality.. its sharpness, its smoothness, how long it lasts, etc. etc. I've seen many guys give up on DE shaving because they didn't do their research first, and bought an inappropriate razor and inappropriate blade. DE shaving isn't something you can just grab any razor, any blade, and get good results. New guys, PLEASE do your research first. Look into a new guy friendly razor, then buy a wide assortment of blades. If you put the time and effort into trying various blades, you'll eventually have that epiphany shave. You'll run your hands over your face and it'll feel like it did when you were five years old. And better yet, you won't have even *felt* the shave happen. Give it time and effort, and I guarantee it'll happen. Buying this particular sampler is a great start. It has everything from "holy cow, that's a darn sharp blade!", (which would be the Feather. The Feather blade is widely regarded as the sharpest there is), down to something more mild... now which ones are the more mild ones? I was just starting out shaving with a safety razor when I got these - and I am SO glad I did. There were a couple brands that cut me up real bad, but the Astra and Feather blades gave me a perfect clean cut. Now thats all I get in 50 packs that last me basically forever! Do youself a favor and if you are new to safety razors, get packs like these to see what blades work best for you. Read more

This double-edged razor blade sample pack offers a delightful array of blades, each with its own unique personality. From smooth operators to precision performers, there's something for every shaving style. However, while the blades themselves impressed, the packaging left much to be desired. Upon receiving the pack, I noticed that the blade boxes were haphazardly loose inside, allowing them to roam freely during their journey from the USA to Japan. As a result, the boxes arrived slightly mashed and misshapen. It was fortunate that the blades themselves remained undamaged, but the same can't be said for their packaging. While I appreciate the variety of blades included in the pack, I hope the seller considers improving the packaging to better protect the products during transit. With a little extra care in packaging, this sample pack could truly shine and earn a higher rating. Read more
If you are just entering the world of safety razor shaving, this pack gives you a good sampling of blades to try out and see what works best for you. This sampler pack represents a pretty excellent value for money relative to others on Amazon- both in terms of the count of blades and the variety of brands. Personally, I found the feathers to be the best with the 7o'clocks as a close second. Both are incredibly sharp blades that pair well with razors that have a mild initial angle- They've given me the best shaves so far. The Wilkinson sword blades should be renamed Wilkinson butter knives because they are the dullest out of the box and quite unpleasant- but my beard hairs are particularly coarse- so they might work well for others. I decided to transition to a safety razor to save money on shaving as cartridge razors have become so expensive. I read several articles and watched multiple videos before choosing to change, the issue was everyone suggested a different razor blade. I found this variety pack on Amazon and it contained all the brands recommended over multiple platforms plus a couple extra. With the help of this pack, I chose my current favorite, the Gillette Platinum. The brands I prefer in order are Gillette Platinum, Asta Platinum, Wilkinson, and Feather. Great sample pack but it could use some more options from the 7 O'clock series or the silver blues. I already used the Kai blade as my regular blade for quite a while and the feathers as a secondary so I wanted to try the other 4. I heard good things about the voskhod but it was rough and uncomfortable for me, the Wilkinson's sword left me a bloody mess every time and I have been doing this for years so it wasn't bad technique. The Gilette 7'Oclock was good but a little disappointing compared to the hype hence he reason why I want more options from that series to try. The Gillette platinum stole the show and has replaced the Kai as my favorite and I instantly ordered a box of them. I suggest adding the Silver Blue to the pack as I tried some after using the platinums and they would make a good addition to the pack. Read more
