How can you go wrong with a relaxing RC back-yard moment?. It makes you forget about your troubles, so I tell my wife that I'm going outside to have some therapy. This 1:14th scale is a great size and not to big of a haul if you take it with you camping, friends houses or I even tried the beach... I did not submerse or try that fate, however, I have some faith that it could take or do some small amounts/level of H2O, but.... Not trying, I have RC boats for that gig. The only downsize to the smaller scale, it gets "tumbly" or the stability is lessened from the bigger heavier scales. Remote is definitely doable. Yes, way more expensive units have nicer suspension, battery life and one of the important features everyone talks about...speed. This unit for the size and price suffices quite well, I'd say for pleasure mode more than any competitive modes. Overall, I think this Chevy Silverado is detailed quite nice, functions very well and is a good value for the money. Read more

What I like most about this R/C truck is it's look. This thing is sharp. It is a striking replica. They did a superb job in that department. The time spent on the design of the vehicle beyond that is minimal, however. In other words, there's not much more that stands out. Yes, it's large and in charge, but the size of the shocks certainly don't match the presence, and they aren't independent. There are two separate motors for the front wheels and the back wheels which is nice as it does have a decently easy time climbing up and over very small obstacles (though there can be quite a bit of slippage), but those aforementioned motors are quite miniscule. Thus, the truck's speed is not super impressive, but often times, I know, that's not what you're looking for in a truck anyway, but this also has a negative effect on it's torque, or it's strength in mobility. I repeatedly drove the truck head-first off of a cliff and it managed a rather graceful landing on all four tires every single time without any complaints. The battery lasted without a noticeable slow-down in play for the entirety of my session which was somewhere between 10 and 15 minutes. One thing about the battery that is worth mentioning is that it isn't easily accessible without taking the truck apart. To be clear - the wire is easily accessible for charging, but the battery itself is not - not without taking the truck apart. So replacing the battery is not an option the manufacturer means for the end-user to take upon themselves which, at this point in time, seems strange. The trigger style of remote control was a great choice. It's so much better than the remote controls with two sticks. Overall, driving the truck around was fun, but I've got a need for power - whether it be evident in the speed or the torque of the vehicle and this truck just couldn't give me much of that. But, I did enjoy repeatedly driving it over a cliff! Read more

I was really impressed by this little RC truck! The stamped metal body gives it a solid, high quality feel right out of the box, and the Chevy Silverado design looks great in person. It’s ready to run, so setup is minimal. All you do is just charge it up and you’re good to go. The controls are responsive and easy to get the hang of, whether you’re just driving it around casually or putting it through a bit more use (racing my nephew's RC car). The weight from the metal body actually adds to the fun, making it feel more substantial than your typical plastic RC cars. It handles well for its size, and the overall build quality feels like it can take some use without feeling fragile. This little guy has a good amount of power! The USB charging is also convenient, making it easy to top off the battery without needing anything special. This is a really fun and well built RC truck that looks great and performs well. I haven't bought an RC car since I was a teenager, but it was really easy to slip back into those days when using this little RC. Making little dirt jumps and tracks with my nephew has been a lot of fun. Absolutely worth the price. Read more

Love this monster truck RC racer! The battery actually lasts for a long time too and the cord is safely stored underneath so you don't loose it. I love the color, so bright and fun to look at. It is SUPER durable, my son had driven it off the couch and many other "ramps" with no issues or breakage. This makes such a great gift and it is literally so much fun for the whole family! The plastic material is strong but a little flexible in spots which is what makes it durable. The speed is actually pretty fast and the remote responds on time too, no lag. Excellent value for your money and so many memories will be made playing with this RC. Read more

The media could not be loaded. This is a legit remote control truck. It’s fairly large and feels very heavy duty, with a stamped metal body that gives it a solid, well-built feel. The hydraulics are impressive and add to the realistic design. The handheld remote was a little tricky to get used to at first, but after some trial and error it became easier to control. Remote comes with 2 AA batteries (which is a bonus if gifting). Out of the box, the truck ran for about 12 minutes before needing a recharge. Because of the size, weight, and controls, this isn’t a great toy for children under 6. It’s better suited for older kids or adults. It’s also best used outdoors, since the truck is large and powerful enough that it could easily bump into things indoors. Also because I don't think there is really a way to control the speed. It's just stop or FAST! For the price point, it’s a well-designed RC vehicle with a solid build. Would be a great gift for the older kid (or husband) in your life. I’m just hoping it holds up to the way my husband likes to drive it! Read more
