I am an RC enthusiast, and I have quite a few RC cars (probably too many). I also have 9 grandkids 9 years old and under that all want to destroy....I mean play with my RC cars. Well, honestly it really isn't much fun for anyone. They are hard for the kids to handle and hard on my heart to watch! That's where this awesome little RC comes in! It is inexpensive enough that I now have several of them specifically for when the grandkids come over. But they are not just cheap little toys, though this RC is not quite hobby grade, it isn't far off. It is quite fast for its size, but not so fast that the kids can't learn to control it. It has full suspension, fully proportional steering and throttle, a nice peppy little motor and really good battery life! The controller is basic, but you can still trim the steering to ensure the car goes straight and it has a speed dial so that I can slow its max speed down for the younger kids. These little things are tough too. I pretty much figured I could let the kids go wild and get a few good play sessions out of them and not worry if they get broke, but they have not broken! Of the four I now have, I don't have a single breakage. We generally run them in the front yard, and I have a couple RC ramps. These things are fast enough to get a few feet of air and are constantly tumbling across the yard with no ill effects! There are some creases in the body shell, but that it no big deal. The truth is, I really enjoy driving these little guys around the yard with my grandkids they are fun for both adults and the kids. No more worrying about the kids breaking my expensive RC cars. I want to be able to break those myself! In summary there are several versions of this same chassis with different body styles. They are all great, very durable and a lot of fun. They work great in tall grass, dirt, in the street, jumping off curbs or ramps. They are small light and very portable. They come with two batteries and a set of sand tires. The Womaqu site also has some common parts available in the off chance you do break something so there is added security there. You will not be disappointed with this little car. SOOOO much better than the cheap toy store cars. Read more

This is a nice 1/14 scale monster truck that is perfect for beginners, especially kids. It uses a brushed 390 motor and runs on 2S Li-ion batteries. I tested the top speed with my GPS and got about 19mph, which is plenty fast for a kid to have fun with. The truck comes with cool monster truck style tires installed. It also has working roof lights and front bumper lights which look nice when running. It does use friction shocks, but it actually drives and handles much better than I expected. In the box you get a second set of paddle style tires, two 1300mAh Li-ion batteries, a USB charger, and a few spare parts. I really like the modular batteries. They are very easy to install and remove and lock in securely. Each battery gave me about 20–25 minutes of runtime which is pretty good. Depending on how and where you drive it, it could be more or less. The platform itself is very durable. I drove it very hard and crashed it quite a few times and it kept going without any real issues. The rear bumper support eventually broke in one spot, but I’m completely to blame for that. It took repeated impacts from jump landings in very cold weather before it finally broke. Other than some scratches, everything else on the truck is still perfect. Overall this is a fun and durable beginner RC truck. I think it’s a great option for kids or anyone just getting into RC cars. Read more

This is a pretty decent starter RC car if you just want something to rip around the yard or street without spending a ton. It moves quick for its size and the 4WD setup actually does a nice job keeping it planted on dirt and grass. It claims around 40 kmh and honestly it feels fast enough to keep things interesting, especially for a 1:14 scale. Build quality is what you would expect in this price range. It is not high end and the components are pretty basic, but for casual use it holds up fine. The extra set of tires is a nice touch and gives you some flexibility depending on the surface. Steering and throttle response are decent, nothing crazy precise but good enough for backyard bashing. My biggest downside is the battery setup. It comes with proprietary packs instead of something like a standard 2S lipo. That really limits the performance and upgrade potential. If it had a proper lipo tray and better electronics, this thing would wake up big time. The included 1300mAh packs work, but they feel a bit weak and runtime is just ok. For the price though, it is hard to complain too much. It is a solid entry level RC for beginners or for someone who just wants to mess around without diving into hobby grade territory. If you are expecting full hobby grade power and upgradability, this is not it. But as a starter truck, it gets the job done. Is it worth the $80 bucks? Debatable but not in my eyes considering what you're able to get for just $40 more on the market. Read more
