YUM!! REAL FRUIT PUREE Syrups!
True confession: I bought these flavored syrups by accident thinking they were a new brand/variety of the very small-sized flavored water enhancers (which my husband loves and uses daily - phot for size comparison). Didn't even look at the price - just ordered. You can image my surprise when a heavy case arrived with 6 large, pint-sized, wide mouth squeeze bottles inside, contents indicating real fruit syrup & puree, not sugar-free water enhances! What??!! But as I looked at them, I thought, "Hummm... Interesting... Sounds tasty," and, as they were a food item, did not return. What a serendipitous mistake! These are DELICIOUS and EXTREMELY VERSATILE: great flavors (raspberry, strawberry, blueberry, apple, peach, & black cherry) and outside of sweetener, fruit puree is their prime ingredient! When you use them, chunks of fruit come out with the juice/ syrup! We obviously did a "straight-out-o- the-bottle" taste test, first. YUM! Then, added it as a topping for homemade oatmeal we were having for breakfast. YUMMY! Then tried the strawberry puree in lemonade. SUPER YUM!! (and loved the seeing the strawberry chunks!), then on pancakes, afterward which I poured a bit on cottage cheese (don't knock it 'till ya try it!) Haven't gotten to this yet, but these would be awesome as an adult beverage ingredient (for which they are touted): in a Bellini, daiquiri, fruit sour, a "splish" of any flavor in prosecco...my mouth is watering just thinking about it! These are not inexpensive... but, when you think of the cost of fresh fruit, the variety of fruits selected for packaging, the tastiness, along with the ease & flexibility of use (summer drinks, here we come!) I'm pretty confident these will be a regular addition to our kitchen cupboards.
