This was formerly known as Reach Total Care floss. I wonder what it'll be called next time it's discontinued and re-released. =P Oh well, it doesn't really matter, as long as someone KEEPS PRODUCING IT. I can't go back to "normal" floss w/o cringing. I ordered a 6-pack, as this floss is impossible to find locally. It can be ordered through many pharmacies, but Amazon's price is still the best I've found ( updated 10-5-2022). Pros: 1. This rubbery Ultraclean/Total Care is the most shred-resistant floss I've ever used. 2. The micro grooves scrape away the bad stuff and you can literally hear the squeakiness of the clean left behind. 3. It's thin, like tape, so it also gets below the gumline easily. 4. Good bargain in bulk. Cons: 1. Mint. I never cared for flavored floss, and I wish they'd make this in a plain Jane, stripped down, unflavored version. I wish my dental hygienist would include this in her kit she hands patients instead of run-of-the-mill floss. Maybe the slightly higher cost turns her (and/or the dentist) off, but it's well worth it. Professional cleanings aren't cheap, so it's not like they can't afford to give patients the best floss. This floss is wonderful to use. Its flat wide surface does a great job. My teeth have very close contacts and regular floss hangs up and shreds. This floss slips right in and does not shred or break. I love this new Ultraclean dental floss. It's a little stretchy, which makes it a little easier to get it in between my tight teeth. It's strong and doesn't break quickly, like Glide did for me. It's not completely smooth, so it does a great job of getting stuff off my teeth. (Technical term, I know. Plaque? Calculus? Teeth sweaters? Who knows?) I also find that I don't need to advance to a fresh section of the floss nearly as often I do with "regular" floss, so I use less floss every night. It takes a little getting used to how stretchy it is but it is very strong and works great. It's not very minty and you can use less because it doesn't take a lot of wraps on the fingers. It's great. Read more
I'm old. I've tried every type of floss out there. This is by far the best. It stretches a little bit, slides smoothly between your teeth and just plain works without snagging, tearing, or ripping into your gums. Read more
This floss is great for my tight teeth which shred polyester floss and cut Glide. This floss gets through the tight gaps by stretttching in rubber-band fashion, then snap! into place against the gums. Stingy at first, but its a good kind of pain. On the way out, however, that stretch-and-snap action can fling one's residual food across the room. Keep at least six feet of social distance from pets, spouses, or computer screens. Read more
