Got a chance to get a dedicated reading light next to my chair because the overhead in the living room is useless after dark. This one's basically a task lamp that happens to be floor-standing, which is exactly what I wanted. The gooseneck bends and stays where you put it. I've got it angled down over my right shoulder and it lights up whatever I am working on without blasting the whole room. Color temps are good. I keep it on the daylight white when I'm reading anything with small print, then flip it warmer at night so it doesn't feel like a dentist's office. Brightness range is decent too, the low end is actually low enough to not bother my wife when she's trying to sleep on the couch. Touch controls are printed in gold right on the pole, three icons for CCT, dimming, and on/off. Took me a couple tries to figure out the tap pattern but once you get the sequence it's fine. Tip for anyone setting it up: just mess with the controls for a minute before you position it, because you'll be bending the neck around trying to read the little icons otherwise. They're not huge. The matte black finish blends in with basically anything. I've got mine wedged between a side table and some plants and you barely notice it's there, just the pole sticking up. This 62" reading floor lamp feels very well-made and durable right out of the box. The sleek, modern design looks great, and the black finish blends in easily with just about any décor. Assembly was extremely simple. The electrical wire is already routed through the stem and base, so all you do is screw the stem pieces together, pull any slack through the base, and you’re done. No fussing with wiring or complicated steps. Once assembled, the lamp really shows off its versatility. The smooth, flexible gooseneck combined with the almost 360‑degree rotation of the lamp head makes it easy to direct the light exactly where you need it. It works perfectly over a desk or reading chair, and it can even be angled upward to illuminate a wall or highlight a plant. The multiple color‑temperature options (2700k to 6500k) and brightness levels make it adaptable for just about any environment - bright and cool for tasks, warm and soft for relaxing. The base is heavy enough to keep the lamp stable, and the controls on the stem are straightforward and easy to reach. One feature that would make it even better would be built‑in Wi‑Fi smart controls, but since that isn’t advertised, I’m not taking off any stars. It would just be a nice bonus. This floor lamp has been a really nice addition to my living room. It blends easily with most décor and doesn’t look bulky or out of place. One of my favorite features is the adjustable gooseneck. It’s flexible enough to point the light exactly where I need it, whether I’m reading a book, working on a puzzle, or doing something more detailed like sewing. Once you position it, it stays put and doesn’t slowly droop like some adjustable lamps do. The lighting options are also very useful. With 7 brightness levels and 4 color temperature settings, it’s easy to switch from a softer warm light for relaxing to a brighter white light when I need clearer task lighting. The touch controls are simple and responsive, and after using it a few times they become very easy to operate. The base feels sturdy and stable, even on carpet, and the lamp overall feels well balanced once assembled. If I had a couple small suggestions, having a remote control would make this lamp even more convenient. Since it has multiple brightness and color settings, it would be nice to adjust it from across the room instead of getting up to use the touch panel. I also think the price is a bit on the higher side for what it is. At around $60, there are other lamps with similar designs and features that cost a little less, so that’s something to keep in mind if you’re comparing options. Overall though, this is a very functional and well designed floor lamp. So far this is a great lamp. I love the different light settings. It also has a small footprint which is nice. The bulb looks like a high quality glass and the flexibility of the positioning is fantastic. I love the little rubber cover on the flexible portion. Gives it a clean look that compliments the overall design. It's an affordable option. Things I don't like are the buttons. The touch is nice in theory, but I've already spent more time that I'd like fumbling around in an attempt to turn on the lamp. Also the touch settings differ, the light temperature setting takes a longer touch vs the dim and on/off setting. I'm not sure if every lamp is this way, but for me this isn't as convenient as it might be trying to be. I don't like the plastic piece that connects the parts of the lamp. I'm confused on that part of the design. 90 percent metal and the only plastic is at a seemingly fragile area. It also arrived scuffed in a way I know the paint will only continue to chip. Read more
