There are all sorts of reasons to wrap your fingers, and slapping the bass enough to cause your fingernail to come off the nail bed is one of them! While the "tried & true" method is often black electrical tape, this BJJ finger tape allows your finger to "breathe." For my playing, I find I can apply it once with 3-passes to allow all day wear comfort. Hitting strings & frets will cause the tape to fray, especially at lesser passes. But it goes on comfortably, ease to wrap a hand one-handed, sticks well & stretches just enough to have that all day wear without breaking down. I had an 8-hour stretch between 3 performances yesterday that allowed for one application, and when the gig was over, easily removed the tape with little extra 'stick' on my thumb. Works for its purpose! Sticky and easy to use. Not too stretchy, and durable, especially if using for fingers—which I realize now is the intended use... I got it for my feet. It’ll work for now, but I won’t buy again as the width isn’t wide enough. Surly the item discloses the width—and it does say “finger” tape. Truly it’s my fault for messing that up. Bought this is in white and black for my boys who do jiu jitsu. It comes with two rolls in a really nice tin. They loved it and use it all the time. It’s a little hard to tear with your hands but that just makes it a stronger tape. Just use scissor. Love the product and will buy again! Read more
