A compressed air cans were an essential desktop item for me for many years for cleaning my desk and most of all my keyboard. Two years ago I decided to try out a battery powered air duster similar to this product thought it was more expensive, advertised as having a larger battery, and rated at 100,000 RPM (this product is rated at 110,000 RPM). I've been happy with that air duster though it wasn't as good as compressed air it got the job done. The battery never lasted long but overall I liked it so when I saw this model and was excited to get another one for my home office. My first impressions was that it was quite as sleek looking as my other model but it felt sturdier and better built in hand. I liked that all the intake and outake reveal metal fan blades in the head, a good sign that I wasn't seeing plastic! I also liked that to find only two buttons and some indicator lights - no unnecessary buttons, screens, bells, or whistles. It arrived with a half charge but I plugged it in with the included usb-c to usb-a charging cord while I read the instructions. The controls take a moment to figure out but operation is relatively simple. Finally time for the test. Held down the on/off button to activate hit the button in the "trigger" position and WOW WOW WOW is this thing powerful. It is absolutely more powerful than a can of compressed air - as stated above, the model I've used for the past 2 years is rated at 100,000 RPM vs this product at 110,000 RPM. All I can say is there is no way that my old model was running at 100,000 RPM because this product feels like it is twice as powerful. I didn't know what I was missing. I cleaned up my home office thoroughly and tried doing a few more tasks. Most impressively, I had a slow running condensate drain that was due for a blow out (typically I do this with a large air compressor). This little hand held fan forced enough fast air through my condensate line to blow it out clean! Eventually the battery needed a recharge but it lasted at least twice as long as my old model - plenty of battery life to do any desktop cleaning task plus whatever else you need several minutes of hurricane speed concentrated air blown at. Value: Great as compared to my other device due to much better performance and also great compared to the cost savings of no more compressed air bottles. Build Quality: Rock solid. Nothing feels cheap or weak. The nozzles aren't the highest density plastic but this is not advertised as a device for heavy duty work so they should be just fine. Battery life: Great Controls: Simple, effective, easy to use Overall functionality: Amazing Noise: The motor makes an appropriate hum but nothing out of the ordinary or problematically loud I can confidently say you will not be disappointed with this product. The media could not be loaded. Product packaged nicely. There was a little (initial) confusion about how to change the different nozzles. There is nothing in the user guide/manual addressing this, and the piece connects so well that I believed the piece that came on the device was molded onto the handle (all one piece) and that the extra nozzles would be clipped onto that. I quickly realized the design of the extra nozzles doesn’t allow for that, so the piece on the handle must be removable and simply packaged as “assembled.” The device came well-packaged and fully charged. Although the user guide/manual reads as though it was translated from another language to English (occasional misspelled word, clumsy sentence structure, even for bulleted/listed points, misuse of word tense, etc.), it is an easy read in comparison to many others, and is not at all difficult to decipher. With the exception of how to install the nozzle options, specifically, it also seems thorough. As a test, I used it to push droplets of water from the small space of an object that needed to dry fully prior to storage, in order to prevent mold. It was an easy task for it, and I believe it will also work nicely for dust and light debris removal/disbursement on car vents and in other difficult to clean places , as well as using on keyboards, the sewing machine, and other objects and places where blowing air is a better choice than suction, without the need for use of compressed air (which gets cold and releases moisture if the can is used for more than a few, quick bursts at a time). It feels good in the hand without being too heavy (doesn’t “feel” cheaply made). It powers up and down quickly, and changing between fan speeds is easy. If you are sensitive to high-pitched sounds, ear plugs or even music headphones, may be a good option to dampen the sound during use. It’s not loud, just high-pitched. Fittings weren’t hard to depress, and I believe it would be manageable for someone with arthritis, for example, to turn off and on, and to hold onto. The grip seems to be a good size, as well. For visual reference, and if you think the handle size will matter for your comfort, I typically wear a well-filled-out small glove (small is either just right or a tad tight, but medium is often too large). Time and more use are needed to determine how long it holds a charge, how well it takes a charge as the product ages, and its durability. Please forgive clumsy filming in the attached video. Removing the nozzle with one hand was more challenging than I anticipated (though not impossible), and I didn’t have a camera holder at the ready. Please also forgive the gloved hands. This thing is so powerful that I recommend safety goggles with it! It gets literally every particle of dust out of my keyboard and file cabinet. Works very well, charges quickly with a USBC charger, and very easy to use. It's lightweight and pretty versatile, I use it to dust my outdoor furniture as well keeps my Rags from getting dirty. I highly recommend this air duster, the item you will never know you need until you actually get one. Read more
