These Redi Edge sharpeners are the best I own for a quick and super sharp edge, on the go. I own dozens of sharpeners, both portable and stationary, and for an effortless and quick edge these can't be beat. So much better than many of the other mini sharpeners I have tried, and with only three strokes usually. Be careful whether you order the 40 or the 60. The 40 produces a 20 degree edge on both sides, razor sharp but dulls faster, while the 60 produces a 30 degree edge which is slightly less sharp but retains the edge longer. This is my second sharpener; the first performed really well, 5/5, but the screws holding the carbide came loose and fell out somewhere between home and who knows where. First thing I did with my second was take the screws out and add some loctite. Other than that; fantastic tool to keep on your backpack. Read more
