UPDATE 3/27/26: After installing the new camera, I contacted Red Tiger support to ask about having to turn off the VPN on the phone and disconnect the phone from CarPlay. Red Tiger replied in less than 24 hours and explained that the disconnect was only necessary during the iPhone to camera setup and could be restored afterwards. I am doing that today. GREAT SERVICE!! Red Tiger CS also explained that to get the park protection working I would have had to use a hardwire kit. Will do that in the near future. Due to the quality of their cameras I've experienced and fantastic customer service I highly recommend Red Tiger. ************************************************************* ORIGINAL REVIEW: This is my second Red Tiger dashcam, I ordered this one because of the quality of the first one. The first one's images were clear and the software app worked as expected. I recommend Red Tiger for quality dashcams. The first one was difficult to install in my car; fault of cars design, not the dashcam. Therefore, I left it in the car when I traded it in and ordered this model for my new car. From the description I thought that all the components connected together using USB-C connectors like other Red Tiger dashcams. However, this is not the case with this one, read on. The power cord is hard wired to an old-style cigarette lighter adapter which my new car does not accommodate. To overcome this issue Red Tiger has a USB-C to USB-C power cable available on Amazon for $7.06 (including tax): "11.5 ft Power Cord for REDTIGER Dash Cam, USB C to USB C Cable for RED Tiger Car Dashboard Camera" (Image #1). This length barely reached from the camera to a USB-C port on the center console in my new Chrysler Pacifica. Additionally, the data cable for the rear camera is also hard wired to the camera; however, the cable can be disconnected into two pieces allowing for installation from the front camera location to the rear camera location. Do Not Twist the connector as the four small pins could be damaged, pull straight apart (Image #2). This is important because many newer cars have curtain style airbags above the headline and the rear camera cable needs to be installed in such a way to not interfere with the airbag's deployment in an emergency. Having the cable in two pieces allow easier installation behind the airbags. Red Tiger app is not necessary as the camera has a touch screen to manage its operation. Any in car apps that use Bluetooth like CarPlay has to be disabled to use the phone app. Read more

Very impressed with this dash cam. Video quality is really good, day and night. Easy to connect to the phone and transfer videos over Wi-Fi. I like that it records front, inside, and rear. Installed the rear camera on my Toyota RAV4 and hid all the wires under the trim - looks very clean and professional. Definitely recommend. Read more

I just purchased my 2nd RedTiger Dash Cam. These Dash Cams are awesome. They include everything you need to set up the camera including a tool to help run the cables. Not only are their cameras great, their support is just as good. The 18 month warranty that comes with these cameras are unmatched. I had purchased a F7N Touch camera last year and lost a screw. I contacted support and within 5 minutes, I already received a response. They not only replaced the screw but shipped a whole new mount. Very good support. Read more

We are very happy with the camera, the video quality and super ease of use functionality. The car where we installed the camera was in a accident a few weeks ago, and the police blamed my son for the accident. When we reviewed the footage, you can see the other car actually ran the red light. Taking this to court and being able to proof no wrong doing is a total relief. Not only this, but after contacting customer support to ask for help on how to install the camera on another car after taking it out from our totaled car, they sent us new cables, sticky material, clips, etc. 1000 points to you Redtiger... awesome company! The Camera works great. It came with the hardwire kit, which had everything I needed. It works properly in both driving and parking monitoring modes. Switches automatically when you turn on the ignition. Video and sound are both pretty good. For the hardwire install, it took a little bit of time to identify the right fuses. Be sure to check Google and YouTube for installation tips on your make and model, some fuses work better than others. It would be 5 stars, but the user manual and the App could definitely be improved. Read more

This dash cam seemed to have pretty good reviews, and the interior camera was wide enough to be able to see much of the sides, which gives piece of mind if you were to get t boned or side swiped. I got this for my girlfriend's brand new Nissan and opted to install it on my own using the hardwire kit that was purchased separately. It comes with a small pry too which can be useful for tucking wires, however I have a more robust interior removal kit that came in handy for removing panels to properly hide wires. Camera records as soon as it is powered on, and with the hardwire kit you have parking mode, which gives you piece of mind in case someone hits your car while you're away from it. I haven't yet connected it to the app wirelessly, however I expect it to work similarly to most of the other apps for other dash cams. Installation with hardwiring it took about 1.5 hours, which was not bad considering it's my first time hardwiring a camera. Video quality seems great, and I like the touchscreen interface. Read more

Easy to install and the screen is easy to see day or night but I'm having a couple of issues that are disappointing. 1. I am getting a "format card , card full" notification every two weeks. Why? My previous dashcam would simply overwrite whats on the card. Why must I format it regularly? 2. On the interior screen at night I see a constant flickering on the section of the screen that shows the car's interior. I guess this is due to the IR sensor going on/off rapidly but it is annoying. Not sure if I will keep this. UPDATE: After seeing my review, the manufacturer contacted me to do whatever they could to assist with my issues. I have never experienced such awesome customer service from an Amazon seller before. Simply outstanding. I am increasing my rating appropriately and would not hesitate to buy a Redtiger product in the future. Read more
