These shorts are a solid pick if you want something that works for training or a random grocery run. The length is the perfect middle ground because it is short enough that your thighs aren't suffocating during squats but long enough that you don't feel like you're wearing a swimsuit. The material itself is super lightweight and has a bit of stretch to provide extra comfort. I do not like this polyester-spandex quite as well as some other fabrics I have shorts in, but it is ok; it is lightweight, comfortable enough and not wrinkle-prone. The shorts do look nice- a cutnice length, and trim cut, so they look ok for wearing in or outside of the gym. The have functional in-seam style side pockets on both sides that are of a decent size, and could hold most cell phones I think, and easily holds keys but the pockets are open, no closure. There is a vertically zipped pocket slightly toward the back on the left side which should be good for those elongated wallets, and keys if not a super huge wad of them. A square billfold could fit instead of the elongated wallets, but I felt it seemed a little more awkward getting it it. Personally I prefer the horizontally zipped square hip pockets, but would not want to put keys in one of those to sit on. The zipper is not very visible on the black shorts, and they did come up with a trick to make the zipper tab quite secure--it tucks into a tab at the top. In fact, it tucks so well that I had a really hard time getting it to unzip and was almost afraid I would break it, however, once I did get it loosened and ran the zipper up and down a couple of times and tucked it in and out of the tab, it got a little easier. These gym shorts are perfect. They have two front pockets and a zippered side pocket, which I absolutely love because it allows me to keep something secure without sitting on it when I use a machine at the gym. I don't know why none of my gym shorts have this zippered side pocket, but I am in love with it. The medium fits me well at 5'10" and 175lbs and I am very happy with these comfy gym shorts for the price, 5/5. Read more

I will begin by saying I received a pack of these shorts in what I assume is error, as I only ordered a small. With that said, the quality of these shorts is very good, they are comfortable and practical for daily use either in leisure or exercise, and I was able to use them in all of these cases. The material is not stretchy, but is breathable and does not chafe, restrict movement even in deep squats, or get uncomfortably warm. It certainly has a more polyester like feel than cotton. With regard to sizing, I have a 28 inch waist and typically wear pants ~30 inches long, but even with the small and the drawstring tied as tight as possible, the waist did not tightly fit me, so I would size down if possible. The 7 inch inseam, however, fell about where I would expect, right above my knee. There is ample space to accommodate the thigh. The only issue with these shorts is that the pocket is not sutured onto the inner surface, and as such with something like a phone in the pocket while running it may begin to sag out of the bottom, but there is also a zippered pocket on the rear, which can solve this issue if you are not carrying much. This storage makes them rather practical. Overall, I would recommend these. The durability and quality feels appropriate for the price, and I would expect them to last with use. Read more

The 7" inseam seems long, but when compared to another brand of shorts I have, they were actually shorter. I’m okay with the length and will otherwise wear. I do like that these Reebok shorts are lightweight and breathable for the gym, trail running, or regular wear. The material seems durable, but in exchange for that is a bit more rough than a typical gym short - they lean more outdoor, hiking, trail running, etc. but I’m okay with that as that is how I will likely use them. A key feature is the pocket security: there are two regular pockets and additional side pocket with a zipper to hold the essentials I need to keep safe. I'm on the trim side and prefer slim-fit clothes. I wear a size medium in every other brand but their size chart suggested I should wear a small. I ended up trying both medium and small to see the difference. The photo of the Reebok size chart is the most accurate reference for size. The medium ended up so much bigger that there was more fabric than I could cinch down with the drawstring. Small was right on the money. I would say these are a modern fit that hits mid-thigh and are more form-fitting. They're comfortable and easy to throw on for the gym or run errands. The fabric is comfortably heavy which doesn't show wrinkles. The price is appropriate for what I expected and I plan to purchase other colors. Read more

These Reebok sports shorts earned five out of five stars because they check every box for comfort and durability. They are lightweight, airy, and made with wicking material that keeps you dry during a workout, but the funny thing is I have ended up wearing them everywhere, not just at the gym. They feel that good. The fit is accurate, the waistband sits comfortably without digging in, and the pockets are actually useful since they can hold a phone and a wallet without everything falling out. The material is smooth and breathable, and even though I normally would not spend this much on a single pair of shorts, these have become the pair I reach for the most. I have washed them twice and they have held their shape with no fading, no loose threads, and nothing that makes them feel cheap.
