Nice and warm

After a winter of plowing with an open ROPS tractor I have no complaints. They don't magically create warmth but they make the extremes more bearable. The cuffs are nice because my heavy coats have the cuffs up inside the sleeves so they mesh well and the sleeve extends over the intersection. I guess if you only have knit cuffs on your coat a gauntlet style might be better. Your not going to be able to do any tactile chore with these on, but the thick foam on the back is nice. Besides plowing a lot I did some firewood chores. They are holding up well but the black grip material they put on the gloves wears out fast. I don't think the cowhide will take much abuse but they are nice for the extreme temps. I am typically a large or extra large depending on manufacturer, and extra large are perfect fit for these. VERY warm. Long breakin period. Durable.

These are very warm gloves. They are very stiff and have a long break in period. I actually sat in my chair flexing them hundreds of times before even wearing them and they are still stiff after 3 weeks. These are thick stiff warm gloves that have lasted through 3 weeks of spreading sand and salt. I waterproofed them with snow seal. I would buy them again. Read more

Extra Extra thick... no movement.

No question they will keep your hands warm ..But you can't move your hands to do anything. They are the thickest insulated gloves I have ever seen .had to put them on my husband's hands like a Lil kid .That's how thick they are. Great for warmth bad for doing anything else. Read more

Warm and durable

These are a solid pair of gloves. I run a tree service and split a lot of firewood and go through gloves like there's no tomorrow. Judging by the construction of these I'm going to get a lot of use out of them before the usual tears and holes begin to develope. They are warm glove which will also keep water out, thats a plus, however they do fit snug and are a bit rigid, I measured my hands to be a large using their sizing chart but clearly should purchased an extra large. Thick and snug

Gloves are heavy duty but are very snug. I ordered the x-large. Haven't used them yet as I bought them to use while snowmobiling. Read more

Not for the cold

It took two weeks just for these to ship. I wore them for the first time in -10 weather. And my finger tips got Cold! For the money I paid for these gloves, I was expecting them to be better. Also, I ordered a size larger and they were tight! Read more

You should waterproof them with bees wax.

These looked like exactly what I wanted for snowblowing in sub zero weather. Most of the reviews liked these gloves, but mention that they are not waterproof and are very stiff when new. I treated them with "leather honey" leather conditioner (same as neatsfoot oil), then put them in 150 degree oven and put 2 coats of sno-seal bees wax on them. That took care of both issues, and I think I will be happy with these for a long, long time. They seem very rugged and warm. Read more
