I purchased two units of the black metal wire shelving to organize my holiday decorations, extra cookware and appliances in a spare room and they made it so easy. But first they had to be brought inside. The ability to hold 3,200 lbs. each made the boxes so heavy that I needed help. Once inside, assembly was quick following the easy instructions, requiring 45 minutes each for one person no tools required. The shelves align easily once you put the clips in. They are strong, durable, and support heavy loads. The anti-tip feature matters, so I placed heavier items on the lower shelves. They don’t even move slightly with a small push. The height of the shelves really depends on how you want to use them and I like how customizable they are. Everything fit easily, and I’d order again. So far, I'm happy with this unit. It seems to be plenty sturdy for the amount of weight I'm going to put on it. Assembly was easy for just me (and I'm a handicapped septuagenarian). I just set some empty boxes on the floor, put the bottom shelf upside down on the boxes, installed the plastic clips for that shelf on the lower legs, inserted them upside down into the tapered holes on the shelf corners, then gave each leg bottom a sharp rap with a hammer before flipping the unit right side up to finish assembling. To make it easier to put the shelves over the top of the unit after installing the upper legs, I put a small squeeze clamp near the top of the back two legs so the shelf corners wouldn't slip down too far before I could get the front two corners over the front legs. According to the directions, you aren't supposed to use a clip on the double grooves. Having the double grooves was an incredibly stupid design choice since it limits where you can put the shelves. Every one of the three different models of REIBII shelving I bought had these stupid double grooves and I needed to put at least one shelf where there were double grooves on every one of them. I found the top groove of the double grooves was pretty much, if not exactly, the same depth of the other grooves (I later verified this with my digital calipers) so, especially since I won't be loading these shelves up to their rated capacity, I decided to go ahead and use the top groove of the double grooves when I needed to (your "mileage" may vary). This almost cost the review a star. Other than that, the shelves seem to be more than sturdy enough for my needs. The directions recommend securing the unit to a wall to prevent tipping, which I also recommend. The unit includes hardware to secure it to a wall. The hardware was two screws, two screw wall anchors, and a couple of fender washers. This will work fine if installing the shelving unit flush against the wall. However, I had to install mine about a little over inch from the wall so I cut a couple of spacer blocks from scrap wood to go between the wall and the top shelf, drilled a clearance hole in each block, and used longer screws directly screwed into studs. I bought this shelf for added storage with canning jars. It was super easy to put together. I did most of it without my husband’s help. It is taller than me so he did come help put the last two shelves on. The instructions are clear and easy to understand. It is sturdy and stable. Just make sure you secure it to the wall with the provided screws for added safety. You do need a larger space for the shelf as it’s 6ft tall 5 ft wide and roughly a depth of 18inches so make sure you measure your space correctly. I got it in black and it’s great. Read more
