True to size ... and perfect in every way!
Wow. I just received my order tonight, and I can't say enough good things about these capris! I ordered a single pair in the stone color, which is a perfect shade of what I would describe as "soft khaki." I am on the downward trajectory of a 120-pound weight loss goal, which I hope to complete by the end of the year, so I'm hesitant to buy too many items in the "just passing through" sizes on the down. But as I continue to shrink, I will come back to this page again and again to order another pair in ever-shrinking sizes. When I finally reach my goal, I will stock up with multiple colors and maybe even multiple pairs in the same color, which I often do to compensate for my inner slob who can't drink coffee or eat spaghetti without wearing it later LOL. They are true to size. As of this writing, these are my current measurements: Height: 5'4.1" Weight: 209 lbs. Inseam: 30" Waist: 38.5" Hips: 50.5" Thigh circumference at largest spot: 27" I decided to go with the Size 20 (according to the Women's Pants category on the size chart - waist 39.5, hips 49). Given that my waist is slightly smaller and my hips slightly larger than the chart measurements, they fit as expected. What I mean by that is that the waist is sufficiently snug and fits at the appropriate place in the front (my belly button just barely peaking over the top), and the back of the waist dips ever so slightly, likely because my hips are 1.5" larger than the size chart indicates. I have fairly even proportions, with a bit of a tummy as you would expect for an overweight person, but no hanging skin and not overly protruding, as might be the case for folks who carry most of their weight in the torso area or who have just lost a large amount of weight and are carrying a bit of loose or hanging skin. I believe the pants fall slightly lower on my leg than in the middle. As I stand barefoot, the bottom of the hem measures 8.5" from the floor on my legs. That is acceptable (for me) for capri-length pants, though I might prefer a slightly shorter length as I get thinner. However, the slightly longer length, in my opinion, makes them suitable for office wear where business casual dress codes allow for capris. I love the smooth fit of these pants and the comfy stretch. They are just snug enough without hugging my legs like yoga pants, yet they still have a smooth fit that hides bulges and dimples. I love that I can just pull them up with no zippers or fasteners, and yet they still look somewhat tailored. They are super-comfy! I would describe them as medium weight - not too light or too heavy - so still comfy in the jungle heat of summer, but also suitable for slightly cooler temps in early spring or late autumn. These pants are a winner! Read more
