Rekucci Womens Secret Figure Pull-On Knit Bootcut Pant w Tummy Control

First: These are AMAZING pants. They are *incredibly* comfortable. The fabric is very soft and stretchy; not so thin that cellulite shows, yet not so thick that you can't wear in the summer. They feel like the perfect pair of yoga pants. The fabric drapes nicely below the knee and the rest shows my shape well. My husband loves them on me. Second: They come WAY too long. When I got mine I measured the inseam and it was 32.75 inches (supposed to only be 32 for the non-petite size). Because I had read reviews about this problem, I took a chance and washed them on cold, then line dried. They shortened by .25 inches, but that was still too long. When I measured them after line drying they were still slightly damp, so I tossed them in the dryer on low for about 10 minutes. When I took them out, the inseam was 31.5 inches - which is perfect for me; I only wear flats. I love everything about them now, and I hope that they don't shorten any further when I wash them again! If they do, I will update my review. I still gave them 5 stars because they're awesome. I think Rekucci knows that they need to ship them with extra length to account for the shrinking. BTW the waistband seems to have stayed the same after washing - it was just the length that changed, thankfully. I'm 5'8, 170lbs for reference and the 14 fit perfectly, snug but no digging into my waist. The rise is right up to my bellybutton. Fake zipper, fake belt loops, so you can't wear a belt with them, but that doesn't matter much to me. I love these pants and will buy more! Oh, also: like another reviewer said, I own 2 pairs of the Rekucci Desk to Dinner Bootcut (great work pants), and one pair of the Ease in to Comfort Bootcut (beautiful but really not so comfy). These are the pants I've been looking for for years! Love these, have at least 6 pairs, most of them black. The black hasn't faded at all after many washings the way that black sometimes will. The dark charcoal color is great! The color is what you would expect - dark charcoal, the fabric seems just slightly different than the black ones, but not in a bad way in the least. I started buying these pants in a regular 18. I contacted Rekucci to ask if they were available in an 18T. The rep was very responsive, said that 18T "would be available in a few weeks". I checked back in about half that time, and there they were. I'm 5'9", 200 lbs., with very long legs. The 18T fits perfectly. The fabric is very good quality knit fabric, it's not flimsy, it's a heavier knit but not at all stiff, and doesn't feel at all 'heavy' when wearing. It's stretchy, but has not stretched out of shape in the least. Some stretch knits get - what - droopy? - or can look sloppy and loose after a while. That hasn't happened at all with Rekucci's, they keep their shape beautifully after many washings. Because they have rayon which can shrink up some, and I prefer to keep the length, I always wash them in cold or warm water and hang them up to dry. I'm sure that partially drying them and then hanging them up to dry the rest of the way would be fine too. On me, they do gap a bit in the back. I usually just take them in on the sides a little to correct that. These are pants I can wear at work and they look great, or any time and they're always comfortable. These are beautiful pants but want everyone to know this. It said to order a size up, which I did. They fit perfect, however after wearing them a couple of hours. They started to stretch. The second day I was always pulling them up. I got my regular size. I will just have to stretch them out a bit. Very disappointing. However, they are very nice pants and would recommend them. Amazing. I immediately ordered three more pairs in different colors. Very satisfied with the look and feel. Size was perfect. Stretch was comfortable but still held its shape. Overall, these pants are great. They're REALLY comfortable for a long work day, never sag or droop, and look trim with every top I've worn them with. However, they do pill very easily and after a couple of washes, they shrank a little. I used to wear them with heels and they were just right, but now I have to wear flats or they look silly. Also, they've pilled in random places, nowhere that rubs in any place that makes sense (the front of the cuffs and the back of one calf), so I can only imagine it happened in the wash? I like the pants. They fit great. They were definitely too long but based on an earlier review, I did wash them asap in warm water and dried them in the dryer. They did shrink in length about 1.5“. They’re still on the long side but wearable. I wonder if they will shrink again? I I might come back and buy another color. Read more
