I honestly didn’t expect this RC excavator to be as fun as it is. The controls are smooth and easy to get the hang of, and having so many functions makes it feel way more realistic than most RC toys. You can drive it around, rotate the cab, and work the arm and bucket at the same time, which is pretty satisfying. The metal shovel is a nice touch and actually digs into sand and loose dirt instead of just scraping the surface. The remote connection has been solid with no lag or interference, even when other RC vehicles are being used nearby. The size is just right- big enough to look realistic but not so big that it’s a pain to store. The lights and sound effects add to the experience and make it feel like a real piece of construction equipment. It comes with everything you need to get started, including a rechargeable battery (just charge it before using). We got this excavator for our child and it’s been a great addition to their toy collection. The description made it sound like they’re all metal, but their metal & plastic. The parts that dig & hold dirt are metal, so that good. They are powerful little tractors & my 9 yr old grandson is having a lot of fun playing with them. They were a great price for a set of 4 different tractors/trucks. They’re easy to control & are rechargeable. They seem to be durable & well made. They function & maneuver very smoothly. They’re smaller scale, but are great little RC vehicles. Read more
I was so excited to get these for my kids for Christmas. They used them several times soon after then the weather was bad and they got set on a shelf in our barn where other toys are kept. Imagine my shock when the kids discovered one of them SMOKING. It was about to light itself on fire right there in our barn with our animals in it as well. It was scary and now we aren’t sure how to dispose of them. We can’t return them or put them in the trash die to risk of fire. They are all just sitting out in an open area while we figure it out. The seller also refused a refund thus far and said we probably used them wrong. Very disappointing and I do not recommend buying these. If you do don’t keep them inside your house. Read more
This is a pretty good quality toy! I was expecting cheap plastic, but it’s definitely not. Great for my 4 year old. He hasn’t stopped playing with it since we got it! Battery life is good as well. He’ll play all day and I charge it overnight. So much fun! Read more
My son absolutely loves this toy. It’s incredibly fun, sturdy, and surprisingly powerful. The metal bucket works great, and the tracks provide excellent traction. It has more than enough strength to climb and use the boom to push or pull itself over rough terrain. The battery life is impressive too. we haven’t even managed to drain it in a single session yet. Limited functionality. -Backhoe- the bucket does not have independent function. As the arm raises, the bucket empties, as the arm lowers the bucket pulls in. The arm does not dig much lower than the treads, so actually digging a hole is not going to happen. Excellent travel motion though. -Dump truck. Simple but good function. The truck does what it's supposed to. Hauls and dumps dirt. Awful travel motion, no speed control so every turn or motion of the truck is high speed. Using the turn control on the remote makes it spin like a breakdancer. The battery compartment is too small and is supposed to be hidden by the front grill, but I could not successfully fit the battery and wires in the the compartment to put the grill back on. -Bulldozer - definitely the best vehicle in this set. Excellent motion control, and the front blade moves up and down. Unfortunately the ripper blade in the back has no function. -Front Loader - Like the backhoe, the bucket has no independent control. It empties when raising and goes flat when lowering. Attempting to use this with the dump truck is proving to be largely unsuccessful. Awful travel motion, like the dump truck it has no speed control. Every motion is high speed. It turns like a breakdancer. - All vehicles - decent lighting, details, and sound effects. As others have noted these vehicles are smaller than you may expect, so be prepared to be a bit disappointed in their size. Overall I give these toys a 3 out of 5, I think the designers fail to realize the most anticipated joy in buying something like this is to use them for their realistic function.
