This was a last minute purchase for a wedding. (I'm talking last minute like delivered a few hours before the event.) I was doubtful it would work, but was completely surprised how well it fit. The material is soft, pretty wrinkle free and has a slight stretch. I don't think it is necessarily as 'bodycon' or shapewear-ish as other dresses described as such. That said it had a smoothing, flattering effect for my shape. For taller folk (I'm 5'10") it maybe could be a touch longer, but it was good enough for me, including with heels. I'm athletic build with slight curves especially in the hips. I felt very comfortable and confident in this dress. I dont have any other events that warrant wearing this dress again any time soon, but I am 100% on the verge of purchasing in another color. My initial purchase was the cobalt blue option in a Large.
