The initial impression upon receiving and unboxing the dumbbell was how well it was packaged. The box came secured with three heavy duty industrial plastic bands, followed by reinforced packaging tape. Inside the box, there was bubble wrap laid on top and below the dumbbell with Styrofoam pads placed on either side of the handle. The dumbbell came wrapped in plastic to further protect it from damage. In terms of the quality of the dumbbell itself, the craftsmanship is very well made. There was no strong rubber odor; the handle was thick and fully knurled from end to end. The heads of the dumbbell also had great detail and quality to them, the numbers and the logo are embossed, the seams were smoothed out with no rough edges. Overall, I would have to say that these are the best premium quality rubber hex dumbbells on the market for the price. I think Rep Fitness did a great job of producing premium quality dumbbells compared to what other companies have on the market thus far. In which case, I would highly recommend them for anyone who is looking for premium quality dumbbells to add to their workout equipment or home gym. Read more

Ordered some 30# dumbbells a few weeks ago. I have an entire home gym from REP and have always been very impressed with the quality delivered and the price point offered. Their quality is just as good, if not better than some of the big names in workout equipment. I expected the same high quality product that I've grown accustomed to receiving from REP, and these did not disappoint. The grip is better quality than other dumbbells that I've used in the past. I just received my 20 lb pair of dumbbells. These are really quality made. They almost look too nice to use. I do like the scoring on the bar to keep a good grip. I also prefer the straight bar so no matter what exercise you do you can grab and hold the bar without being uncomfortable and it stays put in your hand. I also appreciated how well these were packaged and arrived in perfect condition. The best part is the almost non existent odor and nothing rubbing off on my cream colored carpet. These weights are a great match for the Rep weights bench I bought last month. These people know quality weight equipment without an inflated price.
