I purchased this sleeping bag to use during a one week camping trip to Yosemite National Park. Well if you have never been to Yosemite, let me be the first to tell you, this thing was my absolute best friend on those cold nights. The temps were easily dropping down into the 20's and 30's during my trip and, even though we stayed in a tent that did have some heat available inside the tent, it was still absolutely pertinent to have a good sleeping bag at night. This thing checked all of the boxes. I am a short person (5'4) but I ordered the long sleeping bag. I really enjoyed the extra little features on this bag. The hood that comes down over your head was soooo extra cozy on cold nights! Also, the extra length in the bag made it really easy to snuggle down in there without feeling like I was being smothered because I had extra space and fabric in there. The double zipper that goes all of the way around the edge was also super convenient for tucking myself in at night and then allowing easy access in the morning when I had to pop up to run to the restroom. I absolutely recommend this bag for anyone looking for a snuggly investment. It's an excellent value for the price and it packs away and travels easily. Read more

Good budget bag, fit me well at 6 foot tall and 215lbs. Slept in 18 degree weather with it and was warm. Pretty light so not a bad option for hiking, but it isn't a super light bag either. Zippers and cloth feel well made. Read more

I have two of these and have used them recently in the Rockies for my older kids, 14 and 17. We slept at 11,000+ feet with mid to low 30's at night. They hated getting out of it in the morning. This sleeping bag is crazy comfortable. It forms to the body perfectly. And I would say that the advertisement of 5 degrees is pretty accurate if we are talking survivability. Would definitely be comfortable in the 20s. A LITTLE bulky but the heat and comfort are worth it. Great quality and mid priced. Read more

I’m pretty happy with the warmth and size/weight, it is not however very durable, after 1 outing the stitching is coming undone and there is now a hole. Read more

This has been my main sleeping bag for about 7 months, it’s been on tons of trips throughout all seasons. I’ve used it cowboy camping and hot tent camping in very cold temps, so this isn’t a first impression review. Most of my use with this bag has been paired with a foam sleeping mat with a R-value of 2, which is worth mentioning since sleeping bags are rated using a r-value of around 4.8-5.5. However the bag still performed reliably for me, the 15F rating seems to be accurate. The most extreme test I’ve put this bag through is 19F cowboy camping on my foam mat, I was cold and numb at the feet but made it though the night with no major issues, with better ground insulation I’m confident the bag would’ve handled the situation significantly better. The insulation has held up good overtime, I haven’t noticed it lose its performance. The only con of this bag is the zipper, it’s gets snagged on the fabric which could cause issues if not careful. The bag does not come with a compression stuff sack, so for backpacking definitely upgrade to a compression sack. The bag is synthetic so it does not compact very well. Overall this sleeping is great for people who don’t want to break the bank on a cold weather sleeping bag, as long as weight and compactness isn’t a major issue with you this bag will serve you well just remember to pair it with a good sleeping mat to get that full 15F rating performance.
