These drying rods ship without instructions which is unfortunate. In order to use these, you need to take your wet item, insert the rod, squeeze the item so that contact is made with the rod from every angle, and then pull the rod out and let it dry. Once the rod is dry, wipe it clean and it's ready to use again. I find these easy to use and they do a pretty good job of getting the moisture out as long as you make sufficient contact with it. The absorbency of the rods is much better than the old clay versions they used to sell. These rods are small enough to get into tight space easily, and dry quickly, but they won't do much to pull moisture out of the air - they need to make contact. Read more
This item is a great idea. It is difficult to dry the inside of these items without something like this or stuffing a rag or sock in them. However, this item leaves questions. With its length, can it be cut to size? Is it reusable? What is its rate of absorption? I left this in one of the "male rose" toys overnight. The toy was not saturated with water, but the next morning, it was not a whole lot drier either. So that makes me question how long does this take. Also, the drying stick is much longer than what some toys are that it could be used it. So can it be cut to size so that it's not sticking out and making storage difficult? These are things that could be addressed in instructions but are not and are the reason for my rating of this item. Read more
First of all, these do work. The issue is how fast? It does not work immediately. I used one at night and checked the next morning to see how well it dried up the water. It was definitely noticeably less water than just letting the device dry on it's own. But it wasn't completely dry either. This was probably a span of about 8 hours. I not sure if this is a one time use item or if you have to let it air dry to use again or "recharge" by putting in the oven. If it is reusable, how often can you reuse one before you have to retire it. All these are unknowns at the moment, but I can say it does work to some extent. Read more
This item is a 2-pack set of 6" TPE toy trying rods. These are designed to be stiffly inserted into your toys post cleaning to ensure that the internal moisture is absorbed and that the toy fully dries. These are fully reusable as long as you keep them clean as well. Overall, these absorb water very well and quickly dry once removed. So I picked these up not to to dry out the inside of some self pleasure tube. But for a significantly less exciting job of absorbing moisture in a tool box that has to live in a very damp environment. The tool box has two drawers and the main body. The main body has a large desiccant pack. I figured these will work in the two smaller drawers. Thankfully there is a perfectly sized try were each one will live with out banging into anything else. I know these work better when in direct contact to water but they will help. However the three stars is becasue while they will work they are neither fantastic, nor terrible. The old style were diatomaceous earth, basically clay so they were very fragile. These new plastic style are pretty amazing. They soak up water just like the clay ones but they are flexible. It's wild seeing a polymer soak up water like a sponge. These are great!!!!! 👍 Read more
I got his item to use with adult toys as intended, but have some concerns about how to use it and care for it. There are no instructions included and nothing indicating what it is made of. I tried it with a small amount of water on a plate and it is very absorbent and soaked all of it up. I think that is perfect for drying the inside of toys, but also leaves me with some questions. Is it a one time use, disposable item, or is it okay to use it over and over again? Once inserted into a toy, how long should it stay there? A few minutes or until the next use? How do I clean this item, if it even requires cleaning. This product seems to absorb water well on contact, but I don't think it's something most people have ever used, so instructions are an important consideration.
