So, I have naturally curly hair but over the past 10 years or so, my hair has become very thin and parts of it seem to be not as curly. So I needed to get a new curling iron. I used to get the Conair curling irons with the dial that have been around since the 80s. But I found this one and I decided to try it. I was pleasantly surprised at the design and how quickly it heated up. It has an auto shut off so I don't have to worry about leaving it on and forgetting about it. It is definitely an upgrade from the old Conair design. I don't get me wrong, if I didn't like this Revlon I probably would have gotten the Conair because I've never had an issue with it. I just wanted to try something different. It was less expensive than the Conair, and I was really looking for the same dial and auto shut off design that's been around forever, but I wanted the 3 pack set of curling irons from Conair and they simply don't have it anymore. Too bad, because that pushed me into getting the Revlon. No regrets here. So far, so good! Read more

I bought the 1/2 in curling iron for the purpose of using it on a wig I was using for Halloween. So I was looking for a cheap and small barrel curling iron. This was perfect! I was able to sit down and curl the wig while I watched a show. Usually I am afraid of curling irons but I was using this at a low heat setting. It still left some beautiful curls. Not necessarily the type I wanted but that’s on me. I probably needed an even smaller barrel and higher temp but I was afraid to ruin the wig. The downside to this is the placement of the on and off button. It’s located right by the clip handle. So every time I pushed it to clip or unclip, I’d accidentally shut off the curling iron. It was annoying. Huge design flaw. Outside of that, I think it’s a good functioning curling iron. You get what you pay for. Read more

(from wife, Kim) I have used my curling iron for 40 years. Every time I purchased a new one, I hated it and went back to using my old one. They either took too long to heat, got too hot, tangled my hair, or the biggest problem was, the clip didn't clip tight enough that my hair would slip out. After 40 years, my old one finally quit working. I had no choice but to buy another one. I was hooked with the first use of this one. The clip holds very well, it heats in no time at all, my hair glides right off when I am ready to release it, and it has an amazing heat setting that will work for anyone. I have nothing bad to say about this one at all. Now, lets pray it lasts 40 years like my last one did. Read more

Bad design. I constantly turn it off while I’m using it by mistake because of the placement of the power button. Read more

Wish I'd bought a bigger barrel size, but this will work. Turn off switch is too close to your hand so you can easily, accidentally turn off the iron while using. Keep watching for the "red on" light to prevent it cooling off while using. Read more
