We got the kids an Xbox for Christmas. I know it's important to keep the Xbox from overheating so one of the first things I looked for was a fan to keep it cool. This one drew my attention because it not only has the fan, but also charging stations for two controllers, RGB lights, and a spot to store your headphones. The first thing I noticed is that the cord that plugs into the base of the charging station is extremely short. The two ports on the back of the Xbox are being used already. One for the fan and the other for my additional charging station. So I had to find a longer cord to plug the base into the wall. It's not a big deal but a longer cord would've been nice. The lights are awesome. There's a variety of colors and combinations that you can easily set it to. I like the honeycomb-like design that it displays on the wall when it is dark in the room. The charging ports are a little hard to get used to. To charge a remote you have to put it in upside down and use some force. It is difficult because you cannot see If the controller is in the right position when it's upside down, and I definitely don't want to ruin the charging port to my controller. Overall this would be a great unit and would work well for me, except the fan will not turn on. I didn't get this unit for the charging station, the lights or the headphone stand. I got it because I wanted to keep this expensive Xbox that I just purchased from overheating. Now I'm left scrambling to find another fan and hopefully in the meantime the Xbox doesn't get ruined. I really wanted to give this unit a better rating. However, because it's primary purpose is to cool the Xbox and it does not do that I had to give it only two stars. EDIT: I was contacted by the seller and offered a new unit. We decided to troubleshoot a few things and they were really helpful and attentive to my needs. After speaking with their factory engineer I was told to plug the fan into the port on the base. It will not work if plugged into the Xbox or an external outlet. This immediately fixed the issue and the fan works great. I'm changing my review to five stars because the unit works great and because of the outstanding customer service I received. Read more

This is a great all-around accessory for an Xbox Series X, but the controller charge port placement is a little frustrating. The fan: the fan is a great insurance policy against overheating, especially for my needs during long usage times in the summer in the American South. It has switchable off-lo-med-hi modes and an auto mode that uses a temperature sensor to turn the fan on when needed. The fan coupled with the elevated open-grill dock under the Xbox creates a lot of good airflow for the console. The USB ports: the dock is powered by a single USB plugged directly into the Xbox unit. This powers the fan, LEDs, charging ports, and two front-facing USB ports, so even though you lose one back port, you gain two front ports. Unfortunately, these front ports are really low-powered because all the power is being drawn directly from the Xbox, so I would not plug an external drive in here, but it's enough to power a couple of wired USB controllers or other non-essential accessories. The rechargeable batteries: this is the weak point of the unit. The two included rechargeable batteries are a great addition, but plugging the controller into the dock upside-down requires a bit of hunting and stabbing to get the controller seated properly in the port. Conveniently, it does vibrate and turn the controller LED icon red so you know you've made the connection, but it's a little annoying having to stab around to find the port since you can't see it clearly. The headphone rest: flexes a little bit under the weight of my Turtle Beach cans, but it holds strong and seems like a nice little addition. LED lights: who doesn't like gaming accessories that light up? A bunch of modes. Choose your favorite, or hold the touch key to turn the LEDs off completely (including a "no lights" option is always something I appreciate). Cartridge holders: there are a series of short "fins" on the back of the dock that could conceivably hold up to six standard Xbox game disc boxes. It seems like the wires would get in the way, but I haven't bought a physical copy of a game since Black Ops 2 (2012), so I can't test them, and I don't really have a need for this storage. A bit of an unnecessary afterthought in my opinion, and not a big selling point. Overall, this was a fantastic investment for my Xbox Series X, even if the controller charging ports are a little annoying. Read more

Setup was really simple, and it does a great job keeping the Xbox cool during long gaming sessions. The rechargeable batteries and charging station are super convenient. We ended up turning off the colored lights after a while — they were a bit much for us. Overall, it works well and keeps everything neat. Read more

I wish the fan was more powerful but I'm good with it the design could have been a little better improved, but that's not my job to say what and where and why?
