The media could not be loaded. Great car for RC enthusiasts. Battery life is decent, using a "hobby grade" charger is recommended. Quick rally car, for the money, it is hefty, sturdy, nimble, and very responsive. The center differential is a game changer. Super fun! Great price for a quality car. Read more

The media could not be loaded. Haven't had much interest in RC cars since I was a kid, back when you wanted to race your buddy, one of you had to have a 27MHz frequency and the other a 49MHz, those days are long gone fortunately. What got me interested in the Rlaarlo S10 was the scale detail and full functioning lights considering the price, speed and build quality. The fact that I can fully take it apart and add my flare to it was the clincher. While I have no intention of building a shelf queen, I love bringing more detail and customization to the appearance of things and the S10 is an excellent platform. I made roll bar pads, securely planted a NoS and fire extinguisher tanks inside along with some included decals, then I used TRex tape to completely seal any dirt or moisture (hopefully) from getting in the cockpit. The included yellow Baru decals weren't going to work for me, but found a few custom stickers to make the exterior my own. I haven't done any mods to the drive system yet except some grease on gears. Did relocate the power button to inside a side bumper (placed a little bit of silicone on the wire entry) so I only have to remove the top for battery maintenance. Tossed in a 4400mah battery. Placed a couple of blue LED strips on the upper side of the angles underneath so they wouldn't get scraped by the ground and connected to receiver #4 pins for power. The best mod I've done to the bottom half was adding aluminum HobbySoul wheels, these things are positively bad A. The blue matches the color of the S10 pretty well and you can have black, silver or gold rims. My Rally design gets the black rims, my Drifter design coming up will get the silver rims. These wheels are a perfect match fit and offer 3 offset positions, the negative offset will match the original wheel position the best and therefore safest (disclaimer: if you change the suspension, you change the manufacturer design and run the risk of damage), however for my Rally design, I'm going with positive offset on the rear and zero offset on front (I love the deep well look of mag wheels). I found the same size 70mm diameter tires to put on the rims and if you go positive offset on front, you would need to modify the fender clearance a bit and I didn't want to do that. My drifter tires are only 66mm diameter and I expect can go full positive on all 4 wheels especially after I lower the suspension, giving me a wider (cooler looking) stance and hopefully more stable base. I also added some fake aluminum rotors because the HobbySoul wheels are very open to see through the 5 spoke design and display the discs quite well. To complete the scale wheel look, I did apply the included fender wells and used some of that TRex tape to help secure, will prob use more before I drop it in dirt. Needless to say, but I will, these type of modifications toss any warranty into the abyss, but this RC car is much cheaper than a real car ;-). The reason for "not perfect" is because what is, not crazy about the extreme toe in on the rear wheels as I don't see any adjustment for that (I do understand they are by design as the manufacturer decided it's more stable), the front have some toe out, but we can adjust that by the tie rods of course. It counteracts my scale look, but maybe it will be more stable or maybe I can find a way to adjust to my liking, we'll see. Overall, very happy with the car and extremely happy with the project Rally it presented me and I will take what I learned and double down on a more custom Drift model to run as well. Really thinking about how to replace the head of the navigator with a miniature camera... Read more

An absolute best buy in RC rally cars. I have a lot of RC vehicles and this is a big favorite. The performance and handling is wonderful. There are set screws to adjust the ride height so you can lower it for pavement use or allow for full suspension travel for off-pavement rallying. The gyro is adjustable to five levels of sensitivity. The lighting system is very complete and you can disable the directional signals via the radio. The paint job and scale details make it a car you'll want to display when you're not using it... it's beautiful. High quality, supple, carefully routed and secured silicone-insulated wiring is used on the lighting system. A few niggles: The front wheel wells need to be trimmed slightly to allow for suspension travel. Applying the race livery decals is a real chore but the resulting looks are worth the effort. They actually give you two complete sets of the decals in case your first attempt doesn't turn out well. I like this XTS-S10 so much that I also purchased the XTS-F10... another great car! Read more

this car is great,it looks awesome if rubaroo is what your into. it handles smoothly and predictably, full speed on short winter grass, pavement drifts, all the things your looking for in a 1/10 scale rc rally car. . battery life is short ,but that can be fixed by making room for a larger battery. my only 2 real complaints are that the body arrived with bubbles in the paint on bumber hood and roof, and on its first run,on pavement ,grass, wet pavement,it collects almost everything it can in the body even with the fender wells installed. and upon the first couple of inevitable crash and rolls, the paint basically just falls off anywhere that an impact happens. and while cleaning off the mud,it took the paint with it as well. and the gyro is a little funny and takes some adjusting /getting familiar with. overall for the price i would have liked a better quality paint job on the body. its not a shelf queen for me so it is what it is. will update if needed .
