These ankle boots are a nice basic choice if you're looking for a simple black boot at a low price. They're clearly not real leather, but are still well-made and are reasonably comfortable for this heel height. Style: the heel is about 2 and 3/4" tall, so it's tall enough to give you some height without being wobbly. I do like the shape, which is a little curvy like a kitten heel, but taller so it looks more slim and delicate than a true kitten heel. The toes are pointed, and the upper has stitching lines (black on black). As I mentioned, because they're faux leather they do have that shiny finish and pleather texture that's a giveaway they're not real leather. That's not a bad thing, it just is what it is. Function: Surprisingly stable and comfortable, especially for a narrow heel. Some cheap heels are not well-balanced but these feel solid. The soles are ridged which I love, to help avoid slipping on smooth surfaces (hello marble floors!). There's a back zip for easy on/off. Not a lot of padding under the foot, so I did add a thin 3/4 insole which helped. There's plenty of space for an insole, but these do seem run true to size. I usually wear a 7.5 and that worked well for me in these boots. But be sure to note that these have a Misleading Description: I have no idea where the "fur" or "suede" is in the item name. These are definitely not suede (or faux suede), and there's no fur (or fake fur) trim or detailing anywhere at all on these boots. These are also not "mid-calf" despite the description. Honestly, it's like they just threw in a lot of additional random words in hopes of triggering the search function. I don't like that sort of thing...sellers should accurately describe their products. (If you're curious, here was the name of this particular shoe when I ordered them: "RIBONGZ Ankle Boots for Women Kitten Heeled Booties Back Zipper Pointed Toe Dressy Fur Mid Calf Short Stiletto High Heel Fashion Leather Suede Work Dress Shoes.") But putting aside that inaccurate marketing language, the boots themselves are very nice for the price. They look good with pants, they look good with skirts, and they're reasonably comfortable.
