This was a travel necessity. My regular robe was too bulky to pack. This velvity chenille was the best answer. Plus it is velvity inside and out, so is very warm for the light weight of the fabric. The zipper is smooth and easy to start. I haven't washed it yet, so I don't know if there will be any shrinking. I've had the same robe since 2009 and I bought it used at a yard sale for $5. I decided to treat myself to a new robe this year and this one looked sweet and cozy. I am short and so the sleeves are long on me, but I wanted this because I get up early to meditate and wanted my hands covered for warmth. So I love the coziness of this robe and the way it looks. I took away 1 star because of two flaws. First flaw is that the zipper is on the wrong side for women. This might seem like a small thing, but all of our lives men and women are trained to zipper and button from a certain side and our hands are trained that way. When you get old and have arthritis in your hands, it becomes a challenge to learn to do it the opposite way. But I'm learning. The other flaw was that at the top of the zipper, where it comes close to your neck, there was a piece of plastic thread sticking out that pokes you in the neck. I have tried clipping it short and hope that it will work. But I do feel like a princess now at age 72 in this beautiful pink robe with fluffy white cuffs and collar. Read more

It is soooo soft. Exactly what I was looking for. Warm, cumfy, did I say soft? Sooo soft! I am 5’1, 165 lbs and I got extra large. I’m happy with fit. Just above ankles in length. Perfect weight for New England winter. The ones with flower design, the zipper goes all the way up and collar cinches... love it since it keeps neck warm. I am so happy to get this robe, I chose nude in color ( rhw2856Nude) and there is two nude robes but I like this one better because the pockets are on the side not on the front. I am 5ft.7in. and I weigh 159 pounds and I chose a Large size, it fits just right with extra room to spare. The color nude is a really nice shade, if I had to describe it I would say it's like a light beige, just beautiful and very soft, comfy and warm. Read more
