Works as expected and as usual was an very easy set up. I have been a fan of the Ring cameras for several years. I put up two Ring cameras and installed a wired Ring doorbell at my elderly mom's house many years ago. The Ring products were a huge help to me as I could monitor any activity around her house. I have wanted a Ring battery powered door bell for quite a while. I finally found a good deal and I really like the bronze style. I needed the battery powered option as there was never a wired doorbell. I love it when something sets up so easily and in a matter of minutes. I'm truly spoiled as I know what to expect with the Ring products. The Ring doorbell system is a perfect way for me to see when packages arrived and what solicitor people are trying to pester me. I hate to stop what I'm doing only to answer the door to annoying sales people who apparently can't read the NO SOLICITING signs right next to the doorbell. I paid full price for this Ring Doorbell. I no more than got it installed an hour after it was delivered when I checked back on Amazon for the price of a door chime when I discovered that the very same doorbell was now at half price. What was I to do, return the doorbell and reorder at half price? The biggest problem would have been to take the doorbell holder plate off the front door as those four screws holding the plate were, for me, the hardest part of installing the doorbell. So here we are and other than that little bit of unhappiness, I am very pleased with the quality and color of the view of the camera. The installation was a breeze. If I had it to do over again, I would have bought the next step up to the ring camera where the battery can be removed when charging. I would also purchased an extra battery pack so I would be able to interchange one battery for the other and no down time of the doorbell while charging. So when this doorbell battery takes it’s last charge and slips away to the battery waste bin, I will purchase the next level up Ring Doorbell that has removable batteries. I would have gave my purchase a five star rating except for well you know about the half price deal. Read more

This has to be my favorite doorbell to date. So far I've found it easy to install, simple to use and am no pro at technical devices, but this is a whole new experience and it's fun to use. No micro SD Storage was a sligh downside but the cloud prices ain't that bad so it's an upgrade for storage needs. Read more

UPDATE- after leaving the below review, Ring contacted me and worked with me to resolve the issue. After troubleshooting they sent me a new camera. Very satisfied with the Ring customer service. 12 month review- camera worked ok for 12 months, now the camera only picks up Back light and is useless. Disappointing that it didn’t last at least 2 years. Currently looking for a new camera brand. Battery life was good only needing charging approximately every 6 weeks. I have both Blink and Ring Security Cameras of different types all over and only use the Ring because of the far superior Camera and User Friendliness. I can view all my Ring Cameras with whatever Computer Device I have that gets Online. I am not bound to an App such as I am with my Blink devices which means I have to fiddle with my Phone or Tablet to use them. I prefer using my Computers for my Home Security and on the Phone only look at the Notifications; never try to View anything from the stupid Phone. Too small a Viewing image and all that touchy tappy tap tap slide B.S. is just too much with a dumb Phone. No, I use a real Computer for my Security. This Ring Battery Doorbell is a real winner. The viewing angle is incredible; it sees EVERYTHING. When someone Rings it its a pleasant Alert. Not a jolt or obnoxious Alert. I like it very much as I do all of my Ring Products.
