Fantastic Ring Camera! Easy to set up and install. Works really well! You even get 30 days of free Ring program! I set it up over the porch and it not only can see the porch but the carport and part of the back yard as well! The video playback is great and motion detection doesnt even have any lag. I am happy that I finally have some security out there and because it feels so sturdy, I feel it will work well. Easy to install. Better resolution compared to the old model. Continue with the easy accessible battery for a quick change. Mounting can be changed from the bottom to back of the camera allow a more flexible install. It is a good addition to anyone who has a Ring plan as it integrates well to the system. At this point, I could be a ring installer. But honestly, it is so easier to setup and install that my kids could do it. I wish I had bought the wired versions from the beginning. I love the idea of not having to climb on a ladder and change out batteries. The image quality on this newest one is crazy clear, but it is very sensitive. It picks up every movement. Even when I turn down the motion detection. Also, if you do have the battery versions, you can also buy the power cord after the fact and wire them in. Then you will have a battery backup in the event you lose power or someone tries to get slick and cut the power cable. Read more

We have been using one of the previous generation Ring battery stick up cams with a solar panel for a couple of years and needed to add an additional camera to cover another area at our house. I have to say the quality of this camera is night and day compared to the other generation stick up cam we have. You can really see the difference when zooming in on the live view, being able to clearly see more detail. Along with this, the newer camera has a wider angle view so this is really nice, being able to cover a wider area. This newer Pro stick up cam seems just as durable as the other older one we have. We also purchased a solar panel to go with this new camera and the installation and setup of both was simple, and adding the camera into the Ring app is very easy. I would highly recommend this camera to anyone needing or wanting a battery powered Ring cam, along with using a solar panel to recharge the battery during the day. On both our older and now new camera, the solar panels charge them during the day, even if cloudy, and the battery lasts all night. If going with a solar panel to charge the camera battery, there are other brands available that work with these cameras, and can be purchased for a better price. If going with a solar panel, don’t forget to make sure the solar panel you choose also comes with the USB C connector as the new Ring Stick Up Cam Pro now uses a USB C power connection. We have our cameras mounted up under the eaves of our house, so they are somewhat protected from the elements, and this seems like it’s worked to allow them to last longer. We will certainly purchase another one of these cameras when we need to add another outdoor cam. Read more

Replaced an older Ring camera with this Outdoor Cam Plus (plug-in, newest model) and the upgrade is immediately obvious. The 2K video is sharper with better detail, and the wider field of view covers more area with fewer blind spots. Motion detection is more consistent than the older model it replaced, and alerts have been timely and reliable. Night vision performance is also improved, especially in low-light areas. Setup was straightforward in the Ring app and it integrated seamlessly with the rest of my Ring devices. As with any Wi-Fi camera, placement and signal quality matter, but once installed it’s been stable. If you’re on the fence about upgrading from an older Ring camera, this is a worthwhile step up without jumping to a fully wired system. Read more
