The dye worked very well and produced a rich, dark brown color. I used it for a small craft project and even with a non-traditional item, the color took evenly and looked consistent once finished. These liquid dyes are easy to use and a great option for a variety of creative projects. I actually used the Kelly Green and Purple one to dye some delrin yoyos, and for a first-time experience, it went pretty well! I appreciated that the dye is non-toxic and easy to dispose of, which made cleanup very simple. I just poured the dye into a stainless steel pot, brought it close to boil, and let the yoyo pieces soak for about 10 minutes before pulling them out and rinsing them once cool. The color took decently well, though next time I’ll likely leave it in longer (maybe twice as long), or re-dye again after cooling, to deepen the shade a bit. The green adhered better than the purple I tried, but again, this was a learning process, so I don't see any of this as a negative. The surface of the yoyo stayed smooth, with no damage or vibration issues, and now it has a fun, unique, DIY finish, and the color seems to be staying, without rubbing off, which is fantastic. I used this dye to recolor some pants, and it was super easy to use. I followed the washing-machine dying method outlined on the website. One pair turned out perfectly with zero issues. The other ended up a tiny bit splotchy, but that could have been avoided if I had stirred them the whole time like the instructions said. The color is perfect—only dark brown I could find, and it has a slight purple/cool undertone, which is exactly what I wanted. Time will tell how well the color holds up. There was a little bleeding in the first wash after dying, which is expected. By the third wash, there was no bleeding at all. Read more
