It is not easy to find 1.5 lb and 0.75 lb weights, so we were thrilled when we finally found this high quality set! Easy to grip, soft to touch. They are perfect for anyone who has injuries or chronic health conditions and are looking to build strength. The weights are shaped well so that they fit snugly in your hand. They mold to your hand and provide a stable, comfy grip. We use them daily. In fact, after using them for several weeks, we ordered another set. One nice feature is that the weights are assigned a color based on how much they weigh. For instance, the 0.75 lbs is orange and the 1.5 is grey. One very minor suggestion: we would have appreciated it if the weight amount was also written on the sides of the dumbbell (in addition to the hand strap), so that when the weights are stacked, you can easily tell them apart. We noticed that some other weights have the amount of lbs written on the side but not on the strap — having both would be great. We used a sticker to write in the weight and it really helps. I am using the 1/2# weights for my Zumba/Toning Class. I am quite strong but due to a permanent neck injury, I found I was getting headaches later in the day when using the 1# Zumba weights due to our fast changes in movements as well as the portions of the exercise that have the weights out in front of me, it is such a drag on my neck muscles. Therefore, using just 1/2 # still gives me the extra tension of some weight and along with proper alignment and concentration on doing the exercise properly, I feel that I still get a good workout.
