Vest is great. Has a very strong rubbery smell when first opened, but has sense lessened sense being out and airing out. This is much heavier than expected and I'm excited to work up to adding more weights. Love that I can add more weights as my fitness journey increases. Seems very well made and sturdy. I am a 38 DD and I thought I would have a problem with it fitting across my chest, but it fit just fine. I like that it is black with the reflector stripes when I'm out walking towards evening. I searched and searched and read reviews and landed on this vest for myself. For the price point I think it’s the best. There are surely better ones but I wasn't willing to spend that kind of money. I have back issues so I was concerned abput trying a weighted vest and if it hurt or reinjured my back I didn't want to be out hundreds. The weight is distributed well and besides some minor aches adjusting to the weight at first I haven’t had any problems with my back/shoulders or neck. I went with 10lbs. I am 5’6” and about 150 lbs. Ease into wearing it and I think most will be fine. This one has a lower velcro band below the chest/which I appreciate. The clip is high enough up it doesnt squish your chest, which most others look terribly uncomfortable if you have average or larger breasts. This is the most comfortable, well designed weighted vest I’ve tried…and I’ve tried a few. I got the 8 lb version since I wasn’t sure how well I’d adapt to this added weight during my hikes. The fit is great - with bungee style lace downs with a plastic stop on the sides, a wider Velcro attachment at the front waist and a sturdy clip at the top - it’s easy to customize the fit for most shapes. I like a snug fit, personally and once I got everything cinched up, I was out the door to give her a test run. We have pretty steep inclines in our community, so I tried a 3.5 mile and although I certainly noticed the added weight, it in no way impeded my workout. Next, I went for my 4.5 mile trek up through trails up in the Ridges - a bit more challenging terrain. I’ve done this twice now and it feels GREAT! One note - do be sure to clip that top clip. I neglected to do this the first time I went up through the trails and my neck/shoulders were tight/sore the next day. The media could not be loaded. I had another vest that pulled over my head it was big and bulky and hot. My husband purchased this one for me and it is soo much better. It’s easier to put on, cooler, and a lot more comfortable. I like that it snaps in front and adjustable weights. Edited review: within 2 months the weight on the top right shoulder, which was sewn in, ripped. I have tried to chat with the company through the Amazon chat and never got through to anyone. I expected the product to last more than a few months. I walk 2-3.5 miles 4-6 days a week so no extra bouncing or weird use for the vest. Overall it works just fine. It's fairly comfortable to wear, no chafing on sides. Adding the weights is easy- just slip in the pockets. The side laces seem cheap/flimsy. They keep untying and are way too long. I have tried knotting them but they keep undoing themselves. Minor flaw I can deal with. I wanted to run with this vest but there is a significant bounce factor. I can run but I can't get it tight enough to eliminate the feeling of a giant weight hitting my stomach with every stride. For reference I am 5'4" 130lb. If you're on the smaller side I would probably look for something more fitted. Nothing wrong with this product, just isn't the best fit for my size/stature. Read more
This fits women with large chests (34DD) but also still has support across the chest to lesson the amount of weight on your shoulders. I really like the fit and dispersement of the weight on the vest. I also really appreciate that there are two pockets on this vest. One is a zipper pouch which is large enough to store my ID, tissue, money and chapstick. The other pocket is a stretchy one and my phone easily fits in that one. Read more
