They have a little extra room for the feet, but she wears a thicker sock with boots anyway and these are comfortable and her feet do not slide around. The styling and color are contemporary and she likes them. The material is synthetic polyurethane which is clearly stated in the listing as synthetic PU leather; they look good and fell well to wear.
