I picked these up in black mostly because I was tired of playing musical chairs with my clothes. I wanted one pair I could wear to work out, walk the dogs, grab groceries, and not feel like I was wearing something that says 'I'm a workout bro' in public. These are a pretty good compromise. For reference, I’m 5'10", 165 lbs, and the medium fits me well. The waistband has a drawstring, so there’s some forgiveness there, and the 7” inseam hits my leg where I prefer, which is to say that it's just above the knee without showing a bunch of thigh. These look and feel pretty substantial and well-made. They’re made from recycled polyester with a bit of stretch and a DWR finish. They have a kind of structured fabric that flexible without getting clingy or saggy. They are largely 'water resistant', and I put that to the test when I got caught in a light rain walking the dogs. From the little water they did absorb, they dried fairly quickly. I also took them on a spin recently with some cardio and weights at the gym, then a few errands around town, then threw on a hoodie and wore them down to a very casual neighborhood hang. I don't have any complaints. There are a couple of zip pockets (side and back) that make me feel alright about throwing keys or a wallet in them without them popping out. The fabric on these shorts are very light weight and stretchy giving you the needed movement space while running or working out. The zipper is nice and you can feel the quality in it. It does fit my large phone really well but I don't think I would work out with my phone in the pocket cause it does weigh it down. Read more
