I use this in addition to sound blankets and other sound absorbtion materials in an enclosed space Now that that is out of the way, by itself it does in fact do a good job of absorbing sound (echos, room noise etc) but in addition to other materials it is an amazing product in my opinion. I can use it to help on my desk for little joke recordings for my YouTube group, but in my actual setup it is attached to a monitor(speaker) stand and helps with reflections from behind the mic. After a few days of use it is sturdily built, the little knobs that sort of lock the panels at whateverver angle I set them too seem like really decent plastic, not cheap feeling. I set a piece of two inch pyramid foam over it with to help with reverb from above, and to sort of close it off more, and in my closet with sound foam on the walls and sound blankets around my apartment I seem to have an amazingly low noise floor. While not perhaps completely necessary for a setup like this the additional bits leave me space to hang headphones and such off of it when not in use. I'd definitely recommend it to be quite honest. This microphone isolation shield is of the highest quality... very solid and it works well suppressing any room echos from my voice when doing voice-over work. Beautiful and rock solid. I recommend buying 24" x 36" acoustic foam pieces to lay over the top and underneath for even better isolation performance. Great product! Read more
