At first it used to cut off and get hot but I realized when you tune the amp to around 60hz-80hz and set the settings on the radio dsp for the subwoofer I am now able to turn my volume up without the subs cutting out and that one 12 sounds decent for interior sound a slight vibration nothing too crazy on the outside over all I’m satisfied for right now but I’m definitely thinking about getting the dual 12” Read more

I put this lil number in the trunk of my sedan and it doesn't take up the entire trunk which is really nice. I have it facing away from the driver seat. I mainly listen to metal so if you do too keep reading. It's plenty loud and that's good and all but It sounded kind a little blurry I couldn't really hear the separation between the kick notes which is not ideal **BUT** I was able to take the speaker cone off and put in about .75 lbs of polyfill and that made a MASSIVE difference in the clarity of the bass and I highly recommend you do the same. It was a pretty easy and cheap improvement to this sub making it so much nicer! Read more
Ok 1st off I have a 05 RAV4 with factory speakers, so a small SUV and this is almost too much bass! I was so close to getting the dual 12” version and I’m glad I didn’t. So if got a small car and you want to do hood rat things on a budget this is the perfect fit for you! Turn the bass controller down and everything is nice and balanced. I have no regrets Read more
The sub was installed and after 3 days it sounds like the cone is separating and rattling so bad that it just sounds terrible. After 3 days of back and forth they want me to foot the bill to send the sub back in for repairs. Shipping is not cheap. I now have buyers remorse. Buyers beware, go with another company, spend $30 to $50 dollars and steer clear of Rockville. See the actual response I received. Hi Jared, Thank you for contacting Audiosavings technical support. I'm sorry to hear the Rockville RVS12A we sent has a rattle in the center of the woofer. "Blown" refers to when an amplifier blows up a speaker, it usually catches on fire briefly, and smokes, when that happens. This sounds like a different malfunction. Our apologies for the issue! We have a warranty which allows you to send it in for repair. You would buy shipping from your carrier of choice to get it to us and from there we cover parts, labor, and the return shipping. If we can't repair it, we'll replace it. Would you like me to set this up? Ok, we have bought two of these over the last few years. Both speakers blew within a week. The box itself, amplifier, and design isn't bad. So basically your paying for the box snd amplifier. Then do yourself s favor and buy another 12" low profile speaker and enjoy. Good design, good bass, with Rockville hardware and 3rd party speaker. We chose a pioneer lo profile 1500 watt sub snd boy oh boy. Worth it! Read more
Easy set up. Saves up a lot of room in my trunk. This isn’t going to win any sound comps but that isn’t what I bought this for. Just wanted some bass and I got what I wanted. I did actually want the two 12” box but my gf ordered the wrong one. By the time I figured it out the seller told me it was to late to cancel and I didn’t wanna go through sending it back and waiting for a refund then buying the right box and waiting for that come to so I just kept it. It was a little bigger than I expected even after looking at the dimensions before buying it. Totally worth it tho and not bad for the performance. It THUMPS and is super clear. Hooking up was easy as I was upgrading from a Dual Powered 10" sub in my truck. Had to take up the passenger back seat in my 01 Ram 1500, but it doesn't get used anyhow. The clarity, depth, and loudness is AMAZING!!!!! Would totally recommend getting this system for any vehicle. It won't win any competitions, but if you want to add alot of bass and are on a budget, this is the system for you!!!!!! Read more
