The media could not be loaded. This amp is amazing. I have it powering 6 speakers (4) skar audio 6.5s, 2 Polk audio outdoor speakers and a Polk 10” subwoofer. Channel 5/6 bridged to power sub woofer. It’s connected to my fusion head. This system bangs. It does get hot. So make sure you install it so there is air flow. She’s a beast. You need ample room for it. It’s close to 2ft by 1ft. Get all your amp wires and have fun! Read more

First time buying and using Rockville. This amp is replacing a broken wetsounds amp in a 2012 Centurion Enzo wake boat. This is powering (6) 6.5” wetsounds speakers, and (4) 8” tower speakers. This amp is being pushed to the limit and then some… if you’re looking to install in a smaller application (sxs, smaller boat, less speakers, camper, etc…) you will certainly be happy with this amp. Writing this review after only (2) weekends of use. Would be great if it had some more tuning capabilities but, the EQ, HPF/LPF it has are good enough. Overall amp sounds and seems to perform good. Gave it 4 stars because the only issue with it so far is the heat, i don’t believe it has any built in fans which is a downside, and after an afternoon on the water, this thing is HOT… I’ll have to get a temp gun and check exactly but way to hot to even touch really. (Yes I have everything wired correctly….) Overheating is always a killer of amps, so we’ll see how long this one lasts. Will update accordingly. Read more
Edit November 2023: and died. Powers up, but no output of music. This amp has been a giant waste of my time. I tried to support a “Made in America” business, this this is crap. This is a good amp for medium quality speakers as long as you are listing only on the dock. The first amp I received was as dead on arrival and did not work. After a painfully long process of getting a RMA number and waiting for even longer shipping, I had a replacement. (Customer service rep was always quick to respond and helpful, but the fact that you have to send the original amp back to the manufacturer for testing before a replacement is sent is a waste of my F*ng time. That totally defeated the “Prime Shipping” that I selected when purchasing.) The second amp I received works great with my Infinity Kappa 6.5” component speakers but on the bridged ch 5&6 for my kicker L5, you can only enjoy your music at the dock when the amp is properly tuned to the speakers. Once you start boating, the sound of the boat, the water and the wind noise cancels out the music and you can barely hear your music. If you try to overcome this by increasing the gain on each channel (sub -ch 5&6 we’re already near max gain), you distort the music and get only treble. Another problem is that it goes into protect mode after 15 to 20 minutes of listening to “max volume” (tuned where gains are only close to 1/2 of max setting on components - ch 1-4 and 5/6 of max on sub ch 5&6. 3 star rating instead of a 2 star because of the good customer service response time. I did some research on this brand before purchasing and it really seems like a legit company trying to do right. Sadly on this specific amp, it fell very short of my personal expectation. For reference, this was replacing a Kicker CXA660.5 that seriously outperformed the Rockville. The only reason I did not buy another direct Kicker replacement was because I needed an amp that wasn’t going to get damaged by an environment with water/moisture. The kicker lasted me almost 3 years. I may just buy another kicker and throw this Rockville up on a listing site just to not get annoyed and pissed off every time I want to listen to music… Read more
I installed this on my 24' pontoon using 8 RMST65b 6.5" speakers in series 2 ohm and 2 MS10LB 10" DVC SUBS wired to 2 ohms on the 5th and 6th chan. My subs are a bit underdriven but don't pound out like crazy (it would rattle the boat) The amp is properly named because its phenomenal!!!!!!! Very easy to set up, clear sound no distortion, good look, mounted to a bottom of a seat fit perfectly! I can not turn it all the way up, my neighbors would call the cops! The cost of this system was why I purchased this product. I've installed other brand amps and speakers at 3x the cost and didn't have the rich sound my system has. It is literally PERFECT!!! I'm totally happy I gave rockville a chance. I would totally recomend this!! I do have one issue but think it's the quality of the mic, when keyed up it just squeals.... loudly.... now I really didn't buy it for having the mic so I didn't rate it lower because I didn't really think I would use it. I've contacted the seller to see what might be defective. And haven't received the response yet (just been a few hours). I also had some questions for the seller and was able to make a phone call and had my questions answered. This product overwhelming met my expectaions... Would purchase and recommend over and over again!!!! I am ordering the Rockville gauge style head unit (I'm unsure the model) I purchased a cheap on that ven though sounds good the display didn't light up, we will just say it was a Pyle of dung, so if buying an entire system stick with Rockville!!!!! I've done my research on Marine Amps. I actually bought and returned another brand due to the (not so friendly) install requirements (different wiring set-up than my old amp). I just received my Rockville RXM-56 Marine Amp. Based on the the set-up it looks to be a simple install (Same wiring configuration as old amp). If install is as smooth as it looks, then I will give it 5 stars. I cannot comment on the sound yet, but if the sound is better than my old amp, which is should be based on the amp wattage, then I will also rate this as 5 stars. In regards to price, you cannot beat the value for what you get. The 1 yr. warranty is ok, but i did purchase the 3 yr. extended warranty from Asurion. Time will tell, but keeping my fingers crossed.
