Our queen mattress fit perfectly on this frame. The guards on the front and sides do a great job of keeping the mattress from moving around. Our mattress liked to slide off our old platform frame, every morning we'd have to push it back a couple of inches. Assembly was fairly easy, there are a lot of parts, but it all went together without any problems. It does go much quicker if you have someone to help you hold the pieces while assembling. This frame had several more metal beams supporting the mattress than our old frame had. They were spaced so far apart on that frame, I could feel the mattress sagging in places. They're closer together on this one, so it supports the mattress much better. With everything assembled and tightened, it feels really strong. No wobbling or sagging. It's really quiet. There hasn't been any squeaking or creaking so far. It's very sturdy, it easily supports our weight. The 20 inch height we bought leaves us about 16 inches of clearance under the beds frame rails. That's just enough height to slide our large 27 gallon storage totes under the bed. Having enough height to fit those makes that space really useful. We freed up lots of closet space by putting less frequently used item in the totes under the bed. We used a wrap around bed skirt that matches our sheets. It hides everything stored under the bed and doesn't make the frame look so tall. This frame was a big improvement over the old frame used in this bedroom. Well done! This truly is not just a company that throws "me too" at you. There are a lot of creative add ons and thoughtful additions that makes the bed "better" than other similar beds. 1. The bed is heavier than the similar one we purchased a couple of years ago. I believe it could handle several thousand pounds. The metal bars are heavier which mens they are thicker. Yet each piece is not too heavy that it made assembly of this bed difficult, on the contrary it was easy. 2. Those 6 mattress security tabs that make the mattress secure, no sliding around mattress. 3. Really like the four corner posts being rounded on the outside corners. Bumping into the bed is a little less painful. 4. THREE sets of ample sized holes at different heights of each leg for attaching a headboard. 5. There is a full 12 inches of space under this 16 inch leg for adding more storage. You can order after market storage solutions to fit under the bed. 6. It's SOLID, it doesn't creak or sway, this is important to me and I love this bed! I don't think you will be disappointed in this bed, we gave it FIVE STARS! Read more
