We made ice cream using blended cottage cheese, strawberry jam, and mini chocolate chips, resulting in a high-protein frozen dessert. Although we didn't roll our ice cream due to a thick layer, a thinner layer would have allowed for rolling. Regardless, the mixture froze well and had the texture of ice cream with toppings. It was easy to use and made just enough for both my husband and me. The ice cream maker worked as described, but cleaning was a bit challenging due to the crease between the metal and the plastic housing. We had to use a straw brush to remove residue from that area. It's a solid tray and the spatulas are the perfect size and roll the ice cream perfectly. It took a few trys but I finally got the hang of it. The topping selections are endless. I have used fruit, different flavors of chips and candy along with flavored syrups, basically anything goes. It's so simple to use and totally kid friendly so it's safe for kids to do all on their own. So far no leaks and clean up is a breeze. This is so fun! I've seen the rolled ice cream trend come and go but I always wanted to try it. It can also be used much in the same way cold stone adds toppings into the ice cream. Not sure how long it takes to freeze as I forgot I had put it in there but I would assume at least 4-6 hours. It is super well made and looks like it will last many years. I have a similar treat maker but a slushy cup that you freeze for instant slushies so I knew I would love this. It is pretty small pretty much the size of a standard sheet of paper but it's perfect for one or two people. It comes with 2 scrapers that work perfectly with the tray. I love that you can custom make any ice cream or sorbet no matter your dietary preferences. It's easy to make ice cream from scratch right on the tray and using the scrapers it comes off in rolls pretty quickly. I would say you can make a few rounds of ice cream before it cools down and you need to refreeze. This is such a fun tool to have in your kitchen especially if you want to impress your younger family members and kids. It's fun for the entire family! Read more

I ordered this for my daughter & grandson, thinking it would be something fun they could do together. And it definitely is. But after seeing it in action, I wish I'd kept it for myself! Good thing it is so affordable, because I am going to order another. I already make my own healthy ice creams just in the blender, but you just can't enjoy them until the next day. This device also makes it easier to make smaller batches, so you are more likely to try more variations. Plus with so many different types of non dairy milk these days, that are available in a variety of flavors, the recipes & options become endless! I think this would be better with more comprehensive instructions. The recipes were weird, so I found other ones online. However, I don't think I was pouring the right amount on because I could not roll the ice cream. I could only scrape off soft chunks that more strongly resembled soft ice cream. That said, it was fun to do, and my kids loved eating it. I used heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, salt, and oreos. The tray is small, so you can really only make one serving with each batch. That's fine, except I felt like it stopped freezing well after the second batch. It still felt cold, but the ice cream wasn't getting harder. I ended up putting it back in the freezer for several minutes with the mixture on it, and that did help. I really just wish products like this came with better instructions that specifically said to pour a half a cup at a time or something like that. Then I'd know if it didn't work or if I was doing something wrong. Read more
