About this item

  • Pre-Work: The powerful cooling liquid inside the ice cream roll maker must be fully frozen at 0°F (−18°C) for more than 24–48 hours before use. Place the ice cream pan upside down and flat in the freezer compartment, with the stainless steel side facing downward, and do not place anything on top of it. The ice cream maker is completely frozen when no sloshing sound of liquid can be heard after shaking
  • Easy to Use: Take out the frozen ice cream cold plate, pour about 5 fl oz of mixed ingredients onto the fast-freeze pan, and spread evenly. Do not spread the mixture too thickly. Let it sit for 5 minutes until the yogurt and fruit on the surface freeze solid; then scoop and roll the mixture until ice cream forms. Use the scraper to make attractive and tasty rolled ice cream
  • Upgraded Instant Freeze Plate: Made with premium food-grade stainless steel, our freeze plate stays extra cold, allowing you to craft multiple servings without a break
  • Complete Kit for Fast Results: The kit includes a spacious freeze tray and two handy scrapers
  • Easy Cleanup: The slim tray fits easily in most freezers, and the stainless steel surface wipes clean quickly

Simple technology that is fun to use for easy frozen desserts

ZiaFebruary 22, 2026

This is a fun and simple device that can be used to make a quick batch of yummy frozen treat. It is basically encapsulated liquid that you freeze and then pour your ingredients onto the cold steel and it freezes instantly. I've tried it twice, so am still perfecting my technique. The first batch I did was not very successful because I had only frozen the device for 8 hours. They suggest 8-12 hours, facing down so the liquid freezes up against the steel surface. Also, my ice cream base was warm because I used coconut milk and honey, both of which needed to be fully liquefied. It was getting late and my niece needed to go home and to bed, so we didn't have time to optimize the situation at the time. The results were not especially successful, but it was still fun and yummy. There was some sludge that formed around the edges, but mostly it just got cold. This morning, after the tray had been in the freezer all night and the ice cream base was cold, I had much more success. I poured in enough base to fill the whole stainless part and the bottom froze pretty quickly, but the top was still liquid after a few minutes. I used the provided spatulas to basically flip it and stir it as if I was making scrambled eggs. I'd say it came out a little like frozen yogurt. The flavor is all going to depend on your recipe, of course. After I scraped the ice cream into a bowl, I poured some straight cream onto one section of the tray and some almond milk onto another section. They both froze. I was just testing to see how many rounds I could do before needing to refreeze. Probably three rounds if you are fast and the room is not too warm and you're going for soft serve/icee type dessert. After the second "batch", I washed it quickly in cold water and dried it to put it back in the freezer. It's a small, flat (ish) tray and will just live in the freezer for use. It takes way too long to prep the device to store it anywhere else. After washing it I could already hear and feel the liquid inside sloshing around, so it doesn't stay frozen for long. The one complaint I have is that the way it is constructed leaves places for water to pool when you wash it. You have to tip it on its side and leave it there for a few minutes while all the water finds its way to the lowest point and then drips off. It's best to freeze it with the surfaces dry (they recommend putting it in a plastic bag, as well). There was so much water continuing to drip the first time I washed it, that I was concerned that it had a leak. It would be better if it was smooth all the way around without the little hiding spots for water to cling and collect. The included scrapers are handy, though I also have some wooden ones that work pretty well. I wouldn't use metal only because it will likely scrape the surface. It comes in a cute box that can be used for storing if not kept in the freezer. Read more

Fun idea, but doesn’t roll like shown

MimiApril 4, 2026

I really liked the idea of this and was excited to try it. I made sure to leave the tray in the freezer for a few days so it was fully frozen before using it. When I tried it, it did freeze the yogurt, but not the way it’s shown in the pictures. If you spread a very thin layer, parts of it will freeze, but when you scrape it, it breaks into pieces instead of rolling. I let it sit for several minutes and still had the same result. It tasted good, but it came out more like small frozen pieces rather than “rolled ice cream”. Adding fruit made it take even longer to freeze, so you have to be patient. Even with just yogurt, it didn’t freeze as quickly as expected. Overall, it works to an extent, but don’t expect those perfect rolls like in the photos. Read more

Rolled ice cream vendor at home? Yes please!!!

Josh crowellJanuary 30, 2026

My daughter and I have seen a whole bunch of videos of street vendors making the rolled ice cream and we always wanted to try it. This popped up and I knew I absolutely had to get it. Starting off, I thought it would be bigger. It still works but just make sure that you don't overload the whole thing or it makes it really hard...... From personal experience haha. A couple things to know which did not distract from me giving it five stars but you should know before getting it. It is a little small. Ideally I think a little bit bigger would be better but you do have to put it in the freezer so if it was much bigger there might be a harder time for people to have the space for it. I'm not one normally to read instructions but I was looking for a recipe, which it does not include, but I'm glad I did because you need to freeze it which I was going to do but you need to specifically freeze it inside of a bag and upside down. It has a liquid you can hear sloshing around and I would imagine that if you have it freeze upside down, the liquid freezes and hardens against the back of the metal plate versus on the very bottom creating an air gap so your product won't freeze as well as it should. Prepare to make a couple mistakes. It's not a big thing and by all means shouldn't stop anyone from getting it, but just make sure you use enough mixture to be able to spread out but in my case I put way too much in there and though it kind of worked, it was a lot of work. The instructions do tell you how to use it mostly so that's good. We did a couple different mixtures some using fruits and some doing nilla wafers and Butterfinger. If you're going to do something hard like that I would recommend breaking it up prior to doing the process of mixing everything together on this rolled ice cream machine. I added full size Nella wafers and it seem that everything was freezing up prior to me being able to break them up on the machine. Those are all just little things to keep in mind and it definitely doesn't distract from how awesome this thing is. In fact, I wanted to take pictures as we went but it was so fun that we just got lost in it and by the time we were done, I thought about it and forgot. It is so easy to use if you just do it right and this is fun for kids of all ages and I'm including myself. Me and my adult daughter did it and we had so much fun making the world ice cream. We even bought the little cups. Read more
