Fun & Easy Rolled Ice Cream Maker – Perfect for Kids and Family Time!

Jing QinMarch 18, 2026✓ Verified purchase

This rolled ice cream maker is such a fun addition to our kitchen! The fact that it’s plug-free makes it super easy to use—just freeze it ahead of time and you’re ready to go. My kids absolutely love the whole process of pouring, spreading, and rolling their own ice cream. It’s become our favorite parent-child activity. The size is perfect for small batches, and the food-grade 304 stainless steel gives me peace of mind knowing it’s safe and durable. It freezes quickly and works really well with yogurt, cream, and even fruit mixes. The included spatulas are sturdy and easy for little hands to use. Cleanup is simple, and the pink color is adorable. If you’re looking for a fun, interactive way to make desserts at home, this is definitely a 5-star product! Read more

Fun, Easy to Use, and Great for Kids to Help With

AaronMarch 11, 2026✓ Verified purchase

I bought this frozen yogurt maker to use with my kids, and honestly it’s been a really fun little purchase. It’s very easy to use and clean, and I like that there’s no plug, which makes me feel a lot better letting the kids help. That was one of the main reasons I picked this one. My kids had a great time mixing everything around and watching the yogurt freeze on the surface. It definitely turns dessert into a fun activity instead of just making a snack. We’ve used it with yogurt and fruit mixtures, and it worked well as long as the tray was frozen long enough first. Read more

Not as great as it looks

Gettin It CustomJanuary 7, 2026✓ Verified purchase

Vague instructions. No recipes. Once i researched recipes and tried it, it didn’t freeze as expected. I had to put it back in the freezer w mixture spread on top and leave it over night because after a couple hours it still wasn’t frozen. Also… the rolls aren’t easy to make. After hand washing the metal plate, water was trapped inside the plastic housing (it was leaking) and will likely cause mildew inside of plastic Read more

Fun and great for specific applications, but definitely has limitations

DanielJune 23, 2025

I make homemade ice cream as a hobby, but that can definitely be a bit of effort to do right, and is always with larger quantities in mind. I was curious about this flash freezer as an option for a quick fix on nights where I feel like a treat with ingredients on hand, and for that purpose it serves quite well. The first thing I want to note is that the instruction manual is not so great. It's enough to get started and this product is pretty common sense to use, anyways, but the translation is pretty rough and the usage notes don't do a great job of ensuring you get the best results. One example is that it tells you to put it in the "refrigerator" for 24-36 hours. (Note, the Amazon product description says the same thing, except 10 hours). Obviously, this needs to go in a freezer to work, which is suggested by the recommended temperature of -18 celcius that is listed, but it could still be confusing to some. The brilliance of this concept is the ease of use, in that it is simply a matter of adding a mix to the frozen pan and letting it freeze while you use the spatula to slosh it around until it is the right consistency. That said, there does seem to be a bit of trial and error involved, and the results can be a bit mixed. I mostly added enough liquid to fill the pan area and constantly sloshed everything around until I got it to a decent consistency. I get the impression thinner layers might work better, but then you wouldn't get as much and would have to repeat several times. From what I experienced, the effectiveness of the freezing drops dramatically after the first batch. Even an immediate second batch doesn't seem to freeze quite as well, and a third still works but makes for a much slushier consistency. This highlights the biggest potential limitation of a product like this, which is how much you can actually get out of it. Since it requires basically 10-24 hours minimum freezing to use, you can do basically one thing with it before having to clean it off and freeze it again. For a single person or maybe two, that's not a huge issue, but for a family it might not cut it. Also, you pretty much have to choose one treat option. Cleaning the pad between batches reduces how well it freezes. That's not to say you can't do it. I was able to pull it off; it just didn't make for the best results with the second dessert. So far I've tried making frozen yogurt, frozen lemonade, and frozen soda. The frozen lemonade has been my favorite, resulting in a nicely flavorful slush with decent texture. However, it did seem to melt rather quickly. The frozen yogurt also turned out satisfying; I used raspberries and a bit of sugar to help sweeten some plain yogurt. The texture wasn't quite like frozen yogurt you'd purchase, but I neither expected it to be nor was disappointed with what I ultimately ended up with. The frozen soda was a bit of a disappointment, but that was probably because I tried a particular soda that didn't seem to cater well to being a slushy. I'm tempted to try a cola sometime to see how that goes. Cleaning this is pretty simple and straightforward as long as you do it right away. It's just a matter of rinsing it off with water and some mild detergent and drying it off quickly before freezing again. The water used for rinsing can start to freeze on the metal if not dried right away. Ultimately, this is a fantastic idea if you understand its limitations and know how you want to use it. As a bachelor, this is a great option to keep in my freezer and just be able to whip together a quick frozen treat if I feel like it. It's not impossible this could be a novelty that loses appeal over time, but currently I am seeing it as a pretty worthwhile new kitchen tool. Read more

Great product, would recommend

stanleyshenMarch 28, 2026✓ Verified purchase

I’ve been looking for a rolled ice cream maker like this, but specifically one that doesn’t require plugging into power so it’s safer for kids to use. This one is exactly what I needed—the size is perfect, no electricity required, the color looks great, and most importantly, it’s very easy to use and clean. We used it at a kids’ party, and it was a big hit. The kids had so much fun that they kept asking us to get a few more so everyone could have enough time to play with it. Just add yogurt, chopped fruit, and a sprinkle of chocolate, and you’ve got your own ice cream rolls in minutes. Read more

Not Cold Enough to Do the Job

KayelleJune 28, 2025

I had high hopes for this, but it just doesn’t do what it claims. I tried using it to make a basic cola slushie (as pictured), and even that was a mess. Cola has a higher freezing point than any standard ice cream base so if this thing can’t even freeze soda, there’s no way it’s going to work for Thai rolled ice cream. The plate barely gets cold enough to form slush and what little does freeze ends up clumpy, uneven, and melty within seconds. The two included scrapers are plastic (??), and mine came straight out of the box with untrimmed edges and sharp plastic tags. Not only are they flimsy and ineffective against the stainless steel plate, but they also feel like dollar store throw-ins, not tools meant for real use. At best, this could be used to chill a layer of water for your dog to drink off of on a hot day. But if you're buying it for what it advertises, skip it. Total letdown. Read more

This was too tedious to maneuver

Mel ColeAugust 11, 2025

For me, this was a disappointment. Bearing in mind I'm an old gal with sever arthritis, I couldn't get this to do its thing. Having to hold the freezer with one hand and trying to scoop with the other was impossible for me. So I couldn't teach grand son how to use it either. I think if it was bigger, it would work for me.
