This knife sharpener exceeded my expectations. The rolling design makes sharpening fast and consistent, and the magnetic system ensures the knife stays perfectly aligned. The diamond and ceramic discs are durable and effective, giving blades a clean, even edge. I love having both 15° and 20° options it works for Western and Japanese style knives. The kit feels sturdy, well designed, and easy to store. The cut resistant glove is a great bonus, especially for beginners. If you want a sharpener that’s simple, safe, and delivers excellent results, this one is a great choice. Read more

I have been wanting to try one of these roller sharpeners for a while, so I was happy when this popped up. It's pretty hefty and intuitive. Pick the correct angle, usually 20° for American style kitchen knives, and belt knives and 15° for Japanese kitchen knives. It comes with 3 heads for different purposes. 400 for rough sharpening and removing chips. 1000 for your secondary sharpening to really start getting your burr. 3000 for burr removal and edge polishing, as that's when your knife really becomes sharp. It will also help with micro Knicks from normal usage of your knive. For my larger belt knife, it worked pretty well for getting an edge on it. It rolls well, and the rings are replaceable if they get damaged. For smaller knives, it wont work. The magnets sit slow so your smaller blades won't sit above the angle block. It's also not great for severally dull knives. It will work, but you will be there a while, and out a lot of wear onto the sharpening face. The block doubling as a stand for the sharpener is a nice touch. The glove isn't bad, but it's definitely a size large. For $20, it's a decent value for the money. But better for maintaining blades vs getting them back into working order. Read more

Used it today for the first time and put a razor edge on a Japaneshe Sushi Knife. I do recommend wearing the supplied glove as I cut myself. Would be nice if they supplied a stand instead of a plastic base. Read more

It takes a lot of pressure to hold the base to the table still while rolling the sharpener. It is built very well but the roller o-rings are already flexing and seem to want to come off. The average person would need to google every knife they have to ensure which side to use as there was no directions in the box. Read more

My partner has recently gotten really into knife sharpening and has been eyeing one of the high-end professional systems that costs several hundred dollars. When I came across this rolling sharpener kit — which is very similar in concept — I suggested we try this one first to see if it would meet our needs without the huge investment. He was skeptical at first because he’s very particular about quality, but after unboxing it and going through everything, we were both pleasantly surprised. The components feel solid and well-made, and it includes a helpful user guide with angle recommendations and instructions, which made getting started much easier. One thing I strongly recommend: look up your specific knife brand and model online to confirm the ideal sharpening angle before you begin. We were actually able to find the recommended angles for our knives, which made choosing between the 15°, 18°, 20°, and 22° settings straightforward. We tested it on my meat cleaver since I had prep to do that day. He started with the coarser grit and worked his way up through the finer discs, and the process was smooth and easy to follow. Because the cleaver is taller, we had to place the roller on top of a small box to raise it slightly so it would properly contact the blade edge. That worked perfectly, so keep that trick in mind if you’re sharpening larger knives. After sharpening, I immediately used the cleaver to cut meat, and the improvement in sharpness was noticeable. It performed much better than before. We’re not professional chefs, so we don’t necessarily need a top-tier sharpening system. For our home kitchen, this works extremely well and feels like excellent quality for the price point. It may not replace a several-hundred-dollar system for enthusiasts who want the absolute best, but for everyday home use, this is a fantastic value and gets the job done. Read more

I bought this rolling knife sharpener kit to maintain my kitchen knives at home, and it has performed better than expected. The magnetic base holds blades securely, helping keep the sharpening angle consistent. Having multiple angle options is useful depending on the knife type. The diamond discs remove dull edges efficiently, and the ceramic disc helps refine the finish. After a few sessions, my knives were noticeably sharper and easier to use. The included cut-resistant glove is a thoughtful addition for safety. There is a learning curve, especially if you’re new to sharpening. You need steady pressure and patience to get the best results. Extremely dull knives take more time than advertised, and curved blades can be trickier. Once you get the motion down, though, results are repeatable and reliable. It’s not an instant fix, but it’s a solid sharpening system for regular maintenance. Read more
