This kit seems like a clone of the Tumblr and Horl units, but they seem like clones of each-other so it's hard to tell who's on first. The case is nice. I wouldn't call it "exquisite", as they do, but it's practical and effective. The roller sharpener works quite well as far as I can tell. Very little effort, very sharp edge. The "finger guard" is mentioned on Amazon but not in the manual. That and the gloves seem superfluous - you don't need them. I have no idea how you'd get your fingers in the way. Also not mentioned in the manual, or elsewhere, is a tiny strop, a suede-ish rectangle. Nice touch, should be listed/documented, especially since a lot of people won't know what it's for. It's a bit small for the purpose. On arrival, the box had been decimated and re-taped with Amazon Prime blue tape. As far as I could tell, the contents of the case were undisturbed. This item works very well! Just got this and I took one of my knifes, tested it on a piece of paper, barely cut a little bit. Ran this on 20deg angle for only a few strokes and the knife sliced right thru. Seems to be stable and there is not to much weight. Would recommend. Will update if needed. Read more
