I recently picked up a 3-pack of 24oz sport bottle from Rolling Sands USA for my cycling trips, and I've had a pretty good experience with it overall. I love that it's made in the USA, which makes me feel good about supporting local production. The size is perfect for keeping me hydrated during those long rides. However, I did notice one issue—the spout doesn’t seal as tightly as I’d like. I've had it dribble a bit on my frame, which can be a little annoying when you’re trying to focus on the ride. That said, it’s not a total deal-breaker for me. The bottle itself is sturdy and does its job well otherwise. I was looking for a lightweight water bottle for those days when I do not want to lug a heavy metal can around with me, and something that would float and be watertight. As described, the bottles are plastic and came with a slight factory smell. I resolved that by adding a teaspoon of baking soda to each, filling them with water, turning them upside down, and letting them rest that way in a colander in my sink overnight. The smell was gone in the morning. No water leaked out. The mouth pieces had a few rough edges, but I removed those quickly with a nail file. These two issues were not of major concern to me. The plastic is pliable, so once the mouthpiece is open, you can easily “squirt” water in your mouth by squeezing the sides of the bottle. They do not have a “plastic” taste, even after sitting under a hot sun. I used to have a bottle like this, and I employed it as a first aid kit, and plan to do the same with one of these. When I go kayaking, I like to have Neosporin, bug bite spray, band aids, etc., in something that will float and not allow water in. I put eight ounces of spoons into a bottle, closed it, tossed it into my pool, letting it float around for a few hours. It did not sink, and no water went inside. The indentation where your fingers grasp will be a perfect place to tie a cord and clip it to my boat. The ROLLING SANDS sports bottles are exactly what I wanted! I am very pleased with the purchase. Why did you pick this product vs others?: These are great, simple water bottles. I love that it is a 3 pack, which is a great value. And they are red, white, and blue, which are nice colors on their own, or you can use them for gifts for any patriotic occasion. They are totally blank, so they are great canvases for transfers if you want to personalize them. They aren't as easy to drink from as some water bottles, because you have to squeeze them. But that is a huge benefit if you are going to use them for biking or doing anything on the go, because the water doesn't slosh our while you're trying to drink from a large open mouth. Read more

Essentially, these are your basic bike water bottles that fit perfectly in bike water bottle holders. The plastic is not thick and inflexible, which makes them easy to get in and out of holders. The plastic is not insulated, so the water will become warm on hot rides. In addition, they will sweat too, making them slippery when pulling them out. The bottle tip easily pulls out with your teeth, so you can drink while still cruising. These have been put through the dishwasher a few times and they have not altered their shape from the heating element. Although, my dishwasher doesn't have an exposed heating element, so be forewarned if you put the bottle on the bottom shelf. Read more

I did another review discussing my orders of both versions of this squeeze bottle advertised as a sports bottle -- the pop-up top variety and the one way flow valve that self seals. Both are equally fantastic and am so glad that I accidentally ordered the 2nd option immediately after placing my first order. This small, American company is clearly environmentally and safety conscience when it comes to reusable, plastic drinking bottles that are free of toxic odor and taste, dangerous materials and chemicals, and more hygienic design for use. I love that they are generous sized (24 oz), lightweight but durable, dishwasher safe on the top shelf, good for kids and adults, and can be used for (non-hot) drinks anywhere at home or on-the-go: indoors, outdoors, in the gym, for sports, and any other time on-the-go. Also, they fit most car and bike beverage holders. My preference is the CLEAR FROST so that I can easily see the drink contents in the bottle, but I'm honestly so grateful for a useful American-made product by a small American company with a great idea at a great price. I want to support them wholeheartedly for their utter truth in advertising on the buy page. What they say and what you see is exactly what you get.
